I don't think it's constructive yo write off Exclusives as "fanbkys clinging to plastic" cause tbh, I don't think thats what it is, almost at all.

It can be* that sure. People can *make it about that.

Like I am not going to say stuff like FF7 Remake being exclusive doesn't suck, I fully understand the ones like that

But Mario, Last of Us, Halo etc are what people mean when they say exclusives work

Exclusives are what helped Nintendo even make it this far

Same with Sony; PS1 and 2 wouldn't have been nearly as big now without their insane library of games

Nintendo could release all their games multiplatform and they would still be fine because it's a handheld

no because you buy it due to the exclusivity of games and not the console itself

You buy cause of the console AND the games

Same with Nintendo

You make them so people buy the console and get into the eco system so Nintendo makes more games

I just don't understand why Nintendo can't make 7 years later BotW multiplatform for example. It's super stupid

If all exclusives go multiplat then there is no eco system. There is no reason for any of these console manufacturers to try with games.

I mean I don't disagree on that. I agree that after a point in them they should be made more available.

Maybe no necesserily PC but at least for preservation bring them to new consoles

it depends. As I said I would prefer the model of timed exclusivity because you get the "best" from both worlds

We will see if that works for Xbox soon

There is almost no benefit to there not being Exclusives.
