Well you see Otti, it's because of a combination of shorter attention spans and, imo, people equating high episode counts with drawn out bloated story telling.

They see that and think Simpson, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Smallville

Steven Universe had 5 seasons a movie and then 1 more seasons and that shit still felt rushed.

It's also 2 generations thinking Last Airbender is just how shows should be made from an "efficiency" stand point.

I found out today that apparently it was also announced that the Rooster Fighter english dub (yes your reading that right) will be airing on Toonami. But they didn't say when. 😳

No but see if you ask most people who watched it recently or casually they'll tell you, incorrectly there is no filler.

They'll designate them as "side adventures/episodes" and say how "each episode developed and serviced the characters.

Because they equate filler with standing in place with no advancement of any kind.

When I say filler I use that term very loose. Actual filler would be something like the G8 arc in One Piece or something, episodes you can just skip because they are made to be ignored. Which is what you said.

In the case of Superman because of the low episode count you barely get anything that you "could" skip. Nothing gets to breathe and everything feels rushed. I don't mind Superman and Lois getting together so fast but their relationship is also a bullet train because everything happens in such short order.

Well wait then- thats how you're using the word filler? I meant filler as like, stuff happens that isn't the over arching grand scheme main plot- I don't filler is inherently skiplable
