I enjoyed how Deadpool & Wolverine handled the cameos, had a purpose and blended in with the movie really well.

i know it's not what you meant, but i wanna see a 100% original movie, like based on nothing that came before it, and it's just jam-packed with references to previous movies (which don't exist in our world since it's based on nothing in the past)

like, some random character gets a cameo and you as the audience are left to believe that this person must have some greater significance to the plot, but they're never mentioned again
