Like sure, an entire arc of filler is probably a bit much, but if it's all just one thing right after another without the oportunity to breath, I feel like it'll get cramped

Gohan's journey is way better due to the extra time given, characters are more fleshed out, fights are more fleshed out- more lore and world building
