I prefer Kai’s pacing 300 percent

Only issue with kai is some of the scenes that were redone

They look very

odd

i feel like filler that's canon works better than filler that's added into an anime to pad out the schedule. so like, actual thought out breaks between big arcs that continue to develop the characters in their own ways rather than something like "this character is going to the beach and acts out of character because the anime writers don't know the characters"

There's this idea that "Filler means no plot development no character development and can be skipped" and it's just not true

Kai iirc was done up until cell arc

Then they did the final chapters thing

Just cause Goku isn't at King Kai's yet doesn't me you can't have time for a good side story
