oh no. noooooo no no no no. i don't trust anyone to pull off what fma 05 did. what they did is the sort of thing that should never have worked and yet it stands out as one of the best examples to this day. but the % chance of it ever happening again is so low that i don't wanna encourage anyone to try and be "the one" who does it again

why do all power ups have to make the person look attractive? regardless, it's a design based on classic japanese plays and such, and it hits those aesthetics really well

nah, that would've felt so out of place. like, gear 2 was your basic powerup, no special look save for some shininess and steam. gear 3 wasn't even really a form, just "bigger", but gear 4 actually changed how he looked. to go backwards from that just doesn't work. like what, are they gonna give him spiky yellow hair and nothing else?
