You see the other problem i have is the length that games have, like im down to play a game in a franchise im familiar with no matter the length but if its something im new to and has TONS of filler it would take me months to complete it

I completed totk in like 3 weeks in over 90 hours

But ff16 that’s like 30/40 took me months and im still not done

Elden ring too

But it just comes down to what makes the game fun

Like your example is TotK in a shorter time but I wouldn

FF16 on the other hand only has the story for the most part. There is gameplay to keep you occupied but not in an interesting way.

base Elden Ring was maybe 95 hours without the grinding taking up the time

Short or long doesn't matter, it's how you effectively let the players still have a good time between the slower parts
