There's actually a fair amount of work involved. First the text has to be translated and localized so the actors know what to say, then they have to record those lines, then the animators have to overlay the audio on the footage and change the mouth flaps and whatnot to make it look like they're actually saying those words. I'm probably missing many steps but that's just a quick overview of some of what goes into the dubbing process

Now, as for why it's not done yet when other series do simuldubs? Who knows

That's if they even are allowed. In most cases they have to use the japanese mouth flabs making it harder.

It depends on what deals the studios make

Toei doesn't usually do simuldubs as far as i remember

And don't say jap, that's a slur

To be fair, dandadan also has a streaming deal with Netflix, so there's probably something going on there where they have episodes ready to go weeks ahead of schedule but only release them at the usual time

And tbh the Japanese studios just don't care lmao they're like "deal with it, gaijin."
