sounds to me Iike someone didn't know how to finish up their pIot

there is no explanation why the time travel tower is even there

The mechanics are told in the story. You go to the place, do the thing it says to do and you travel back.

KH on the other hand relies on a mechanic that is barely explained

KH: There's an ability that gives you time travel and we try to explain you to a certain degree how it works

DQ: there's a time travel tower and time travel orb but we don't explain you why they even exist and how they got there.

And that still makes more sense than the power of waking ever did

They are both used for the same reason but at least one finished it's actual plot and gives you something extra to do

KH uses it as a crux

And a last minute one at that

I am not even a big DQ11 fan, but man I can't agree with that take

It's so bad that the party won't die because of their actions because at this point they absolutely firetrucking deserved it

literally the most dislikable jrpg party ever

You have not played Tales of Zestiria I see

I did but Sorey wasn't that terrible in comparison

the worst thing about Zestiria was the alisha bait

Ditching the first female companion and then just ignoring her the whole game

At least the party in Zestiria didn't try to put humanity into hell again

It's a good thing that didn't happen in DQ11 either

Idk if this is what the kids call a "heated opinon" but I think the time travel actually makes sense BUT it makes the LESS sense in the game its introduced in (Dream Drop)

Every other time I think it's fine

man I didn't mind it in KH that much because I am used to the weird shit but I genuinely enjoyed DQ11 until that moment... my only criticism was the poor beginning...

Idk if they changed the rules at some point but it made more sense in later entries
