So I just got a psp 3000 and I'm going to get bbs for it now I'm coming from playing bbs FM on the HD collections on ps3/xb1 is there anything I should be aware of before playing.

Gameplay-wise there may be a small delay in triggering a style change and using it. Transfer as much data as possible for a smoother play process, and you get a cool screen of the characters walking across. If you're playing the vanilla version then the added features like unversed silhouettes won't be there, and the Secret Episode certainly won't be. Many Unversed got color changes between the vanilla and Final Mix editions. The hardest mode is Proud. Basically, it's worth looking up what was added with Final Mix so you won't be surprised by its absence in the base version.

The international PSP version is a lot harder than Final Mix/the HD version,. For international audiences, they nerfed the player characters to make the game more difficult, but the Final Mix/HD version uses the character stats from the original Japanese version. In my experience, a level 20 Critical run on the PSP is a lot harder in the latter half of the game than a level 1 Critical playthrough in Final Mix/the HD version. lol

The increased difficulty doesn't make the game grueling or unplayable or anything, it just might be surprising coming from the HD version.

Critical mode was actually added in the international version.

It's funny how many times I buy the the same kingdom Hearts games across different platforms.

Minor differences where base, Final Mix and re versions are concerned (Chain of Memories to re:Chain of Memories is probably the biggest shift between versions so far), but for the most part it's the same games.

Now the only kingdom Hearts game I need to play on the original system is DDD 3D on 3ds.

Both games are fairly easy to find on their original systems.
