Same. KH is the only Square IP I'm super invested in aside from maybe TWEWY. And that's because KH succeeds on its own merits; not any amount of non-existent brand loyalty.

Like, for real, KH is one of the few game franchises out there that remains both ambitious AND faithful to the fans, and I just can't stay away from it because of that.

Oh twewy I care deeply about but I only played a bit of the sequel. I don't know if I like it much yet.

Actually, it's mostly Nomura's projects that keep me invested in Square. He has a very novel approach to game design. Not always on the mark, but he never has any shortage of new ideas or willingness to improve.

I'll be frank was I a little disappointed that I didn't see FF characters in 3 at first ofcourse but not mad or hateful, but 3 became it's own Disney FF without them so it's justified

I mean...sure, but where do I even start? The FF franchise is so vast and every game feels so drastically different from the last, I'm not sure I could get into it if I tried for the rest of my life!

Realistically any of them- even some spin offs like Chrystal Chronicles or Tactics.

Secret of Mana is also a non FF Sqaure game that's great.

I will say, I do like Chrono Trigger a lot, from what I've played of it

CT is actually one of the few Active Time combat games I can actually tolerate
