I agree mostly which is why I was so surprised people were so upset by 16 like FF has never been a particularly deep any semblance of difficulty RPG series There's some exceptions like say 7 remake hard mode but have we been playing the same series

Hard mode in the remakes feels less like a difficulty option and more like a difficulty mod
