And the production of it

EDM is not a genre, EDM is a collective of dance genres such as trance, house, techno, dubstep, drum and bass, jungle, hardcore, hands up and etc.

Most EDM genres have a beat that we artists call the "four on the floor", however, some genres, like dubstep, drum and bass and jungle do not.

I think the important thing to remember here is that everyone is free to have their own interpretation as to what a character would listen to, or just what genres fit them.

It was very popular in the 2000's and popularised by artists like Cascada, Basshunter, Ultrabeat and DJ Manian

Also, I defend my music choices a lot because not many people take much notice of electronic music outside of Europe, that and I have passed my music GCSE's which means I have studied a lot of music back in school

Also when I mentioned about the production side of it, a lot of people don't understand that unless you make music yourself, terms such as four on the floor, sawtooth and arpeggiations

I guess the reason why you wouldn't associate Sora with that is because he is not good with computers after trying to break soneone's computer, I guess

And that music is made with synthesisers, drum machines, samplers and computers
