Took me almost eight months b/c I didn't work on it every day...

That doesn't make much sense to me, especially going from the demo where they barely talk outside of cutscenes and especially in fights. So having harder difficulties wouldn't make a difference to enjoy the story and world.

Makes me wonder if I should focus on the story then get all the collectibles on the hardest mode

I really hope I don't need to explore the entire world twice

I don't think there is any difference from story and action modes, story just gives you items to help make the game easier for you.

Well what I mean is, the hardest difficulty unlocks after you beat it, and there's new enemies right? Who's to say they wouldn't have new collectibles too?

There's gotta be a lot of missables also that'll make people want to replay so they can get to that earlier stage that was only accessible at that one point in the game.

Final Fantasy mode will unlock more weapon and accessoire upgrades, has new mobs, has the ultima weapon, probably also new bossmechanics and changes to the boss fights like savage in XIV

It'd be nice if it had chapters so we can replay certain segments over and over until we get that part rather than each straight playthrough.

Yeah I did like that in FF7R

The trophies requires the entire game to be cleared on Hard Mode w/o a mode switching option, thoguh.

the endgame system is definitely similar to 7R

because they got positive feedback how they made it in 7R

If ultima weapon really is tied to a higher difficulty only I will be salty

Yakuza does that too; ties a trophy to the hardest difficulty that doesn't unlock until a second playthrough. It's like why lol just let me have it.

I didn't notice an MP system where having enough to use spells would be an issue.

the only thing that would make me sad about no items would be losing buff potions. in the demo you have so much offhealing with limit break

I can live with losing healing items but I want to use the dps pots
