magic in KH3 matters more than in 2 for example

Not for all games but KH3 absolutely did

like i cared so much for those sidequest stories, but i hated where they were placed in the game

also yes they were boring af to do with just fight after fight

KH3 was the first game where I felt like choosing mage mattered. It's also why Shooting Star is my favorite keyblade. I love the range capabilities

Would have been nice for Fira to be a big explosion or Aerora to cause a push effect or even launch enemies, Dark could blind enemies

Just anything to make them stand out

Also I just thought about it, no -ga spells

Although what's the point when they all would do the same

I hope they keep all the stuff the introduced in 3 and don't go back to KH2 style systems

keyblade transformation made the combat so diverse

i was really expecting thunder to be a zap from your hands when charged so it would be able to go through multiple enemies. nope, just another dang ball

I think Shiva is the only one who has an elemental sideeffect

She can freeze people, I don't think any other eikon has something similar

Like in KH1 you had enemies that were strong and weak against certain elements
KH3 had those pollen enemies you can aero
And ofc many enemies in VIIR

Ex: perhaps armored enemies should have been weaker to thunder vs bluebirds could be weaker to fire and so on

I see people talk about how elemental weaknesses would limit what you can do in FF16 and I just....are we playing the same game

the KH community gives the devs too much shit sometimes. The story has its flaws but the gameplay is excellent PepeHands

You can literally control 3 elements at the same time

That's not an issue

they can do weaknesses but they shouldn't be punishing or forcing people into certain builds

just make the abilities do more damage

I wouldn't mind forcing into certain builds

It's a huge part of the fun in 7R for me

But at least doing more damage would already be a pluss
