Aerith ties the entire game and plot together

because of Sephiroth and Zack being in front of the church

 

 

alternate timeline aerith getting killed in front of Zack would be so disappointing

 

As a sidenote, someone posted snippets of the beginning of the game so now it's spoiler territory so be careful

 

Sephiroth has 0 reasons to be at the church unless it's related to aerith

 

 

also Aerith and Zack's relationship being a thing in Rebirth probably will make the shipping wars even worse

 

 

they can't go all out with Cloud and Aerith during gold saucer date because it would make Aerith look like a bitch
