I was wondering where he was at

I still need some time. haven't even reached cosmo canyon but considering how distasteful the game has treated Red so far I expect the worst

they dropped the ball so hard on him

the game has this piss poor and unfunny running gag that Red XIII is a dog and the entire party goes with it

and then he constantly shows that he doesn't like it and no one in the party tries to humanize him

it's so tone deaf

I mean, he is a dog

He's just an intelligent one

I don't really get what's tone deaf about it

Humanizing him would say he's human but he isn't

with humanizing I mean to treat him in a way like someone that has his own feelings and the game doesn't do that at all instead they are quintupling down on the dog thing. It's firetrucking awful

some of the writing is really firetrucking terrible

Yeah I don't agree on that at all. They all joke around with each other and take a jab whenever an opportunity comes.

I honestly think the writing is rn overall worse than FFXVI's or even ARR

They aren't treating him as an actual dog

the entire game is only carried by party interactions

even the pacing is worse than XVI's

I feel like we are playing two different games here

I am 40 hours into the game and yet I am still waiting for something that drives the overall plot forward

even the zack stuff is insanely barebones
