So far I kinda agree, but its been forever since I played the of game

On that part I do like that

he refuses to acknowledge who he was. That he was a grunt and not a soldier, so the lie just became "there were three Soldiers there, not two"

 

Also the callback from chapter 1 where

if you talk to one of the grunts he says "do you have a girlfriend here?" and Zack says that exact line

chapter 13 spoiler:

I like that they made the sea accessible but this opens just another can of worms. now they have to add exploration stuff to that too. same for the sky in part 3

 

I honestly

can't imagine a mainline FF game having all of this in a single game. It's just not possible unless they reduce the scale of the areas

The Zack part in the end of rebirth really bugged the firetruck out of me

 

 

All of Zack bugged me. The amount of time he's here does not justify him being on the damn games cover

 

 

Even more hilarious is that there is a firetrucking option to skip all of Zack's stuff after you finish the game

 

Cause it's nothing but walking lol

 

Want to skip mini games? Nah. Want to skip catching Piko again? Nah. WANT TO SKIP OTHER TEDIOUS STUFF? NAH

 

 

Even the developers agree that his time here is wasted when they give you that damn option

 

 

I didn't want Zack to be alive, and I was anxious as to what his role here was going to be. I love Zack, he's my introduction to Final Fantasy. But dude didn't even have a role here, just a waste of space
