Like alright, Sephiroth is there for some reason. He picks the black materia up. Cloud goes tohim. Sephiroth then drops the black materia? And then begs Cloud to pick it up to give it to him?

 

And man like I want to be excited and swap theories and shit but I just don't have the care to man, they have successfully pulled me out

And even before that

why did Aerith say it's a fake and then not follow it up

 

At this point I don't care how it ends I just want to see it end.

I did like Cloud chasing Aerith for the black materia though (although I do wish we got the scene of him assaulting her)

It would have added to the sister edge and actually make Sephiroth more evil instead of just weird and sinsiter.

 

It kind is still here, it all falls apart when taking it out

When Cloud got the white materia from dream Aerith, he gave it to his Aerith in the sleeping forest and then got the blank one from her. I think the blank one turned into the black materia

 

Earlier in the game

Red mentioned that the materia is formed by memories and emotions or something like that. I am guessing Cloud's denial about Aerith's death and all that jazz turned it black

 

As for why

he was holding the blank one, pulled it back and then pulled out a black one, I don't know

 

This development is honestly the best new part in the game

 

What I am going to like is the war though, and i hope the party gets caught in between it having to fight all that come up to them
