For so much of the game I genuinely was

Even with some gripes here and there

I was loving this game

I was like "this is better than remake in every way."

And I hate that I am gonna feel this exact thing in part 3 too

Because going by Remake and this, they are so doing the same thing in part 3

I have my own meta theory about this game.

Remake many of us had gripes and were disappointed but we held back SLIGHTLY as a collective cause we were waiting for this game cause this was gonna be the one that really explored what the games wanted to do.

Now that we are 2/3 done, and with this ending resolving nothing about its game and the last one, the mask is off. Seal broken.

The hatred for these remakes will soon over take the fandom.

Cause we're all feeling the feeling of "firetruck this* I was patient and open minded for *this???"

I don't know about that any and all discussion you see around now is just between people who liked the game

People who didn't like the game or just the ending has mostly moved on

that's why Rebirth didn't sell well

compared to Remake

Try and say something bad about not liking the ending in ff7remake subreddit and you will just get five pages of essay about why you are wrong and how it's a great ending
