I personally loved the 13 trilogy

I liked Lightning Returns from a gameplay perspective more than Rebirth tbh

because it felt more fresh

in comparison to Rebirth which isn't very ambitious

okay so here's my argument why Lightning Returns is objectively better than FF7 Rebirth

It has a job system and you can be a cat girl from FFXIV

also SE would probably get cancelled for this nowadays

you can even turn into Cloud or Yuna as a job

so you don't need FF7 or FF10

you don't even need FF14
