Please note that this is just a theory. I actually didn't come up with this on my own, either. I found it while reading a fanfiction on FanFiction.net. However, this theory is quite plausible.

 

Basically, what happened in their story was that after freeing Terra from Xehanort's control, Xehanort used his own pure darkness to possess Kairi and create the X-blade.

Personally, I don't think Xehanort is pure darkness, so he couldn't possess Kairi. However, there are parts of this theory that just might be true!

 

We all know that Kairi is a princess of heart, right? Well... to put it simply:

Kairi=Princess of Heart=Heart of pure light=Potential X-blade?

 

We also know that although she will not be taking the Mark of Mastery exam, she is still an official keyblade wielder. (Nomura confirmed this somewhere (can't remember where, though...)) Why would she be given a keyblade if she were not to use it for some special purpose? As far as I can tell, the heart of pure light and the heart of pure darkness have to be keyblade wielders, but I may be wrong.

 

Also...

 

Yen Sid said that Xehanort may not be alone. Could he have found another heart of pure darkness somehow?

 

 

There may be many flaws to this theory, but if you think about it, it could happen! What are your own thoughts?

No, that's just going ahead of what might happen in future KH games. I don't think that Xehanort would go and repeat something like that. Besides, it is said that the X-Blade has to be made from both being/hearts of pure light and pure darkness. Xehanort isn't a being of pure darkness, only his heart succumbed to the darkness. So there's no way for him to forge with Kairi.

Like I said, Xehanort isn't a being of pure darkness. Only his heart has succumbed to the darkness itself. He would have to be made of darkness in order to forge with Kairi. As I said before.

No, just because she is a being a pure light doesn't mean she has the potential to make the X-Blade. Her heart and body would have to be strong enough to handle that much power of the X-Blade. Ventus and Vanitas made a example of that in BBS. Nomura already stated that Kairi doesn't have the qualifications to weild a keyblade. She was able to weild one was because when she touched Aqua's keyblade in BBS and the fact that she is a princess of heart. So her heart was pure enough for her to able to even weild Destiny's Embrace in TWTNW. Kairi really doesn't neccesarily have what it takes to weild one. Her heart would have to be strong enough and meet the qualifications to weild one in her hand.

Not necesarily, just because you have a heart a pure light and a heart of pure darkness doesn't mean you can just weild a keyblade because of that.

 

To weild a keyblade of light, your heart would have to be strong enough and meet the qualifications to weild one as well. Riku and Terra showed this to us in BBS when they met each other in Destiny Island. For example, if you touch a keyblade and it doesn't fade away from your hand, then that means that the keyblade has accepted you as its master because your heart is strong enough, and that you have the qualifications to weild one. Also, your heart cannot be sunmitted to darkness as well, because Master Xehanort stated that "Those who submit to darkness, are not qualified to weld the keyblade".

Now, as for a keyblade of darkness, that's a different story. First off, your heart would have to be pretty well conseummed by darkness, as Master Xehanort here has shown us. Secondly, another way for you to use a keyblade of darkness is that you would have to be made of pure darkness. Such as which Vanitas himself has shown us in BBS.

 

What I'm trying to say is, there are different types of keyblades. A keyb;ade of light, and a keyblade of darkness.

Well, she actually just grabs it for a short time and then letting it go to get away from the Unversed. And it's like i said, it's because of that she is a princess of hear mainly. Which is giving her access to using a keyblade when it is givin to her (which riku showed in TWTNW). And also why Aqua's keyblade didn't fade from Kairi's hands. It's like Nomura said, she doesn't have the qualifications to ever weild one. Meaning that her heart really doesn't have what it takes to weild a keyblade. her heart would have to be strong enough for her to use one. You can say she "borrows" the power to use the keyblade.

Well, actually you're kind of half right. But at the same time kind of half wrong. She can kind of weild a keyblade. But shows no potential or qualifications to ever use one. She'll only use one mainly if someone just gives it to her. She's kinda half and half if you put it like that.

Could you please make your posts more comprehensible? I doubt it's only me who's having trouble understanding what you're trying to say. Also, what's with the bumps? It's not like you're necroposting o.o

 

Anyways, Kairi is technically a wielder, just an accidental one. So the power to wield has been passed on to her, but imo, considering how the rite between her and Aqua went down, she probably won't get a Keyblade of her own. Like what KH125 said, she's kind of half of a wielder.
