Hey guys, i just noticed something while replaying Olympus Coliseum. I guess this can be considered as minor SPOILERS but not really.

 

Anyway, on layer 20 there is a short scene with Sora, Herc and Cloud. After some talking Cloud says, "I knew someone that never used to give up." Well I think this person is Zack, because well he doesn't give up. Also notice how he says "knew" and not "know", this could mean that he knew Zack in the BBS time and because Zack disappeared he hasn't scene him since.

 

Do you think he could be talking about someone else?

Zack is the one with the most connnection because I have played Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and he is not the type to give up(also the part when Angeal saves him=Fail for Zack).

Nearly every line Cloud has is a reference to FF7. Keep in mind this is digital Cloud, and thus doesn't know any more than Sora does (Cloud never alludes to Zack in KH1) It seems more likely he's referring to Barret, or some other character from FF7. That's assuming it's even a reference to a character from his own game. He could be referring to Leon or something.

There's also the problem that Cloud doesn't actually KNOW Zack, as far as we know.

Of course. The only other characters in Final Fantasy 7 that are in Kingdom Hearts are Cid, Aeirth, Yuffie and Tifa. So it has to be Zack.

 

Also referring to the fact he "knew". So Zack makes perfect sense.

Cloud in KH is from Radiant Garden though. Zack is from Olympus, and it seems he died before Cloud showed up.

And again, Cloud never referred to Zack in KH1, so why would that be in data Clouds personality?

For all we know Zack may have lived in the same place as Cloud before he went to Olympus Coliseum. Really the only person who knows is Nomura and it's up to him whether he reveals who it is or not.

I think it is more likely that Cloud is referring to Aeirth or Tifa, but Zack can't be ruled out just yet.

The thing is, unlike Cloud, Zack was redesigned in the Hercules style.
