But I'm kinda sad about it too, cause when I was testing my dad was passed out, drunk, in our living room. And he ALWAYS does this, whenever I have a dance performance or a play or anything really. My mom came though, but only for about 3 minutes so she didn't see much. And my brother just didn't wanna come...

Well, my parents really wouldn't come to anything if I ranked up on something so I can relate. Just think about the good things in life since you moving up a rank. Congrats. ^_^

Tae-Kwon-Do is so much fun! And it's so worth it at the end when they hand you your black belt. I got mine a year ago. There's a whole fun ceremony you'll get to go to!

 

I'm sorry about your dad. D: It's frustrating when parents do that, especially in the case of your dad, since he's not working or anything. Maybe you should talk to him--you're his daughter. Tell him that you are, and remind him that you need and want him there for you, even at things like achieving yellow belt.

I did capoeira before... got boring and my teacher left so I quit.

anyway, I agree, It's awesome that you got that belt, and you should talk to your father. my dad drinks a lot as well only in the weekends
