Kingdom Hearts 24th Anniversary artwork revealed by Tetsuya Nomura as team works for the 25th Anniversary

Posted

Square Enix has unveiled a new illustration celebrating the 24th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series. Drawn by Tetsuya Nomura, this artwork depicts Young Xehanort holding an umbrella, reminiscent of the artwork the character received in 2022 during the Dark Road Q&A.

A brief message accompanied this visual as well, thanking fans for their continued support and noting that the development team is working hard for the upcoming 25th anniversary.

It may not happen, but I'm hoping the Kingdom Hearts 25th Anniversary event will reveal some other Kingdom Hearts games alongside with Kingdom Hearts 4. Maybe a full game of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road or maybe Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link on the console (PS5 or Switch) as a smaller Kingdom Hearts game like 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep or Kingdom Hearts Coded like in the good old days. May not happen but it's just a wishful thinking.

Due to this lack of details, I am starting to get the impression that "'Kingdom Hearts IV'" shall be the series finale. = (

Please, Square Enix and Disney -- do NOT let us down!!
