So today Mubarak resigned and Egypt is free. Well supposedly, he handed over power to the military which as history shows one or both of these things will happen
1. The Military not having a clue what the hell they are supposed to do will fight among each other until a sole General takes power.
2. The Military places an autocratic state.
Although this might be a very good day for democracy, it may not be so good for the US and her allies as many of the protesters are anti-american and to be honest I don't blame them as we did support Mubarak for a while and even gave them US tanks, fighters, and equipment.
Even though this was a peaceful change of power, keep in mind that peaceful takeovers (or seemingly peaceful) are skeptical. As Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro seized power and formed a communist state. Adolf Hitler also appeared to take over peacefully but the history books tell the rest.
So what do you think will happen in Egypt.
A. The Military will seize total control and form a even more oppressive state.
B. A new constitution will be created and Democracy and real freedom will be restored.
Also with that said, what do you think this means for the US and Allies?
A. Egypt will become Anti-American
B. Egypt will remain Pro-American
Judging by what happens in History, I have to sadly believe both A options will occur. But tell me what you think.
