Think of it as a kh game with more and better stuff on it for example in kh2 the english version we just saw a cutscene of sora and roxas fighting in kh2final mix you can actually fight him

Are you kidding me? The FM's are Japanese versions of the game with English voice acting and Japanese subtitles. They have extra bonus content that arent in the original versions. The game is only in Japan but you can buy it @ playasia.com, e-bay.com, and amazon.com. But if you plan on getting them searh up Swap Card Swipe Magic and then buy it because the PS2 is region locked.

when a kingdom hearts game is release in outside of Japan it usually has things added to it. A final mix is when the game is re re-released in Japan with the added stuff from the overseas version and extra stuff as well that only the Japanese get. Unless you choose to import the game.

Final mixes are pretty cool, too. if you're planning on buying one, tough, I recommend you to play the english version a lot.

Final Mixes are parts of the game that are released ONLY in Japan which has bonus content. There kind of a pain to get and its aggrevates me to such a deep content thatt I would have to go to extra effort when I already bought the game. I usually just look up the bonus content on youtube. Its so rude of them to close others out of such a great game.

So Nomura made the English version of the game, and as a special treat for his western-hemisphere friends, included new boss battles and other content in the game. Thus, American gamers had stuff in Kingdom Hearts that the Japanese with their regular games did not have. Japanese people, who were used to getting everything they wanted, whined about this. Nomura, wanting to cater to his native people, created ANOTHER version of the game with the stuff the American version had, as well as MORE bonus content never seen before. The Japanese people jumped for joy. American gamers were dumbfounded at this, and whined, hoping that Nomura would release this for them, too. But Nomura was like "To heck with you Americans!" and kept this "Final Mix" only to the Japanese, much to America's chagrin.

 

Then came Kingdom Hearts II a couple of years later. Nomura, now wiser, decided to make the Japanese and American versions of the game the same, with no version better than the other. However, for some reason, the Japanese wanted more. Thus, Nomura created "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix", with SO much bonus content that it made the regular Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix look like trash. American fans were outraged, stating that there was no reason to do this, and demanded equality. Nomura refused to release one for Americans, once again showing his immense love for his native country.

 

Then some years later came Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The American version had more content than the Japanese version. Fans knew that a Final Mix was coming. However, Nomura clearly stated in an interview that there would be NO Final Mix this time.
