I was playing Ventu's mode in KHBBS one day, and when I was looking at the Unversed page in his journal (just so I wouldn't have the flashing "new" sign appearing,) a thought came to my mind: How did Ventus know what the Unversed were called?

I don't mean each individual type of Unversed, because then the question would apply to everyone. What I mean is where did he hear the word "Unversed?" Nobody ever said it to him as far as I can tell. He himself doesn't say the word until after leaving Radiant Garden, but the only way he could have learned their name is if Terra or Aqua said the word. Yet, they didn't. (Believe me, I double checked to make sure.)

 

So... how did he know?

I believe that this is a case of oversight on part of Square. With everything that was going on, the forgot about a detail.

Actually, Eraqus only told it to Terra and Aqua, during that time Ven was talking to Vanitas.

This is my theory, for I also noticed it when playing. His journal lists the types of Unversed, so maybe that's how he learns. He justs opens it one day and sees their name due to the magic in the journal which copied it down, similar to a Pokedex from Pokemon.

Well, Vanitas has some knowledge from Ven, for example his relationship with Terra. Maybe Ven gained some knowledge from Vanitas but never realized it himself.

That is a possibility, though I think that Vanitas learned of Ven's friendship with Terra from MX. Though that does leave us with the same old question.

And so it is. Report XII. Hmm. Ven getting the name Unversed from Vanitas unknowingly seems to have good merit.

i think becasue Vanites and ven are the same so this is why he know there name ^^
