With KH news drought lately I ran into this and I got super-excited.

 

Keep in mind that this is pure speculation until otherwise confirmed. Remember The World Ends With You (or TWEWY for short) on DS? It's been a while since we heard something about it.

 

 

So VGTribune‘s associate editor Tweeted that he heard the supposedly announcement of The World Ends With You 2 will be made on E3, from a very reliable source.

TWEWY was a shot in the arm for the JRPG genre: it introduced a bold, dark and original story, great characters, fantastic use of the DS’s unique features, an engaging (and fun!) battle system, and an on-the-fly difficulty adjustment feature. Add to this a fantastic current-day, real-life Japanese setting, a highly-stylised look, and a soundtrack that was worth hunting down the Japan-only soundtrack to hear.

 

So it was a winner, then. Unfortunately, it didn’t exactly set the charts alight, but it’s garnered a frighteningly passionate fanbase since 2007, and it hasn’t aged one jot. Sadly, we wouldn’t even know which format would win a TWEWY sequel in the volatile mobile gaming market these days, but I'm hoping that the game’s unique dual screen battle system will tie it to 3DS. Assuming that this whole thing isn’t just a cruel joke, of course.

 

So yeah, that's pretty much all. Let's hope we'll have some KH news in the next days.

U MAD??? kh's storyline is way better!!! twewy is close tho and i agree with u on the other part keep twewy AWAY!!! let the game evovle a bit and then do one or 2 cameos in any of those 2 games but mixing the storylines is plain awesome

lol, you agree with me on keeping them seperate for the wrong reason. i'm saying keep them away because: 1 - they're completely different, and 2 - i personally hate KH's story. it's way to complicated, wheras TWEWY's story is alot more simple and original. cameos = do not want

em first of all never said they aren't different plus kh story is preety fine if u played almost all the games plus u need to be smart so if your a dumpass don't play (not refering to you) but ok it is complicated at some parts but what awesome addicting stories which have a lot of video games aren't??? and twewy is simple cause there aren't many games released i mean ok it is simple by itself from the start which is a good thing but i hope they don't complicate it that much in the sequel so more people can play not like kh but kh has a much better storyline but those are opinions so no reason to argue and a small cameo which was almsot like a joke like neku passing bye stealing sth and then sora passing by and everybody thinking it was story and chassed him would be a nice cameo cause neku=dark sora rip-off(but a kickass rip-off http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I like TWEWY more than kh and it's still my favourite ds game but i really don't want sequal knowing square they might kill a great game but who knows it might be as good as the oringal it's wait and see

If it's another game that I would possibly be interested in... this might make me want to buy a 3DS now if it's going to be for that system (& if there really will be a sequel xDDD).

I'm sorry but, Kingdom Hearts storyline is way better than the World ends with You. The World Ends with You has Beet and Kingdom Hearts has Sora.

If there's another TWEWY game,it would be epic. Though,I think TWEWY should stay a single game. I just think that it doesn't really need a sequel,since in the end they all returned to their normal lives,met together,and became bestest of friends.

 

Unlike KH,who ended where Sora and Kairi seperated and they made a promise and it was just nessesary to make a sequel or else Nomura might had been attacked by fans until he made a sequel.

 

Though,in the secret ending,it appears Neku leaving his headphones on the floor,and the title 'The World Begins With You' appears. This might be a clue that there is going to be a sequel. Or not. Either way. If they do make a sequel,it better be much more epic than the first one,or else it will be just darn dissapointing.

Bout time they come out with a sequal to the game, I hope they make it as good as the first if not better.

They won't make one one a system beside the DS, unless it's the 3DS. The gameplay woudln't work on anything other than a DS/3DS and it just wouldn't be the same. That's like taking KH and using motion control to swing the Keyblade. It just wouldn't feel like a KH game.

I honestly hope it doesn't. As much as it would be nice to get a sequel, it would slow down the development for the other games that Tetsuya Nomura is apart of. The more games that he's involved with development, the longer it takes for each games to come out. Just let him finish doing the character designs for FFXIII-2 & Type-0, directing Versus XIII & KH 3D and start finally start developing the long awaited KHIII after he's done with all that.
