Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, made from the heart of Master Xehanort, is referenced twice in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. First, Master Xehanort asks Terra to "Seek out the darkness that upsets the balance", similar to Ansem's title, and second, Terra tells Master Xehanort in Blank Points that "You're gonna get shown the door, old man", referencing Ansem's fate at the end of Kingdom Hearts.

Ooh that's cool! Maybe why he chose the "seeker of darkness" part of his name. The references are probably not an accident.

Those two lines doesn't come off to me as a reference to Ansem.

1st: They talk a lot about Darkness in KH. Probably just a coincidence.

2st: Ehh... As KH Ultima said, "might just be them talking"

yes you are kinda right but you know it is a referance because nomura (or whoever) could have chosen any other way to say that.... i mean come on"seek out the darkness" isnt a coincidence

dude wtf go away...srry but terra saying "you'll be shown the door" is definitly put there for a reason and you have to be a mentally messed up person to say its not and asd i said before you know it is a referance because nomura (or whoever) could have chosen any other way to say that or it could have not been there at all since it was a part of the secret ending

The first one I can see.

The second one I don't see. If I'm remembering the conversation that the "You're gonna get shown the door, old man" refers to MX being driven from Terra's heart. Though...thinking on it, if Terra thought that opening the door to KH would spell MX's doom, he might say it as a threat. Oh well, just thoughts.

I don't think they're references, just coincidences. Remember, this is just the English dubbing. If we check the original Japanese version and they say the same thing, and not something similar with different words, then it's less of a coincidence. The only real references I got were when MX takes over Terra's body, he says the line Ansem SoD says to Sora, Donald and Goofy before the first battle against him, and the Guardian.

 

Also, just because other people don't think it's a reference doesn't mean they're 'mentally messed up'. Saying things like that is just going to make people angry and start arguements and fights.

It's just coincidence. I doubt that those lines really existed that exact way in the JP version.

Unfortunatly the video section on this site doesn't have it with subtitles.
