  1. 1. What file format do you prefer for the video archive?

    • WMV (The one we currently use. File sizes are big, however the files are playable by mostly everyone.

    • AVI-Xvid (Average filesizes, but playable on less computers, though, still most.)
      7
    • MKV (Smallest filesizes, meaning we could pack more quality into a same-sized file. However, users would need to download a special codec to watch the videos.)

I try to get all my videos in WMV.

is MPG out of the question?

I use Quicktime and prefer mp4 files because I have a Mac. I only used Xvid and avi files if I have to.

Have you guys ever watched a MKV video. The compression rate is awesome. A 20 minute video is about 70MB and is extremely high quality.
