Okay to start things off, Tetsuya Nomura already confirmed in the latest Famitsu interview that there will indeed be two new party members alongside Sora during Dream Drop Distance. The two new characters most likely will be original KH characters. Honestly, we haven't heard the slightest clue about these "new" character.

 

It is very likely that these new characters will also be taking the Mark of Mastery exams to become true Keyblade Masters. Maybe it's even possible these new guys were sent to Master Yen Sid from other worlds. Maybe they are chosen keyblade wielders like Sora and Riku. Who knows? Nomura said the plot will be very confusing and difficult to understand so at this point, anything is possible.

 

Now, the first canidtae for these new characters would be the Mysterious Figure. Nobody knows who the MF is. He could be MX's right hand man, or MX could just be using him just like Vanitas ( I know you guys disagree but it's just a possibility that this may happen). As for the other character, I'm not sure who he could be.

 

Anyway guys share your thoughts about who you think these new party members will be. Right now we know so little about this game so the most we could do is speculate.

i think there new keyblade wielders somthing like ven. so there not going to be ready to be master idk if this is what he sais but i thought he mentioned they would be in kh 3 to so maybe after kh3 they will end up being sora's aprantice's if sora wins the m o m. do they both get to be masters? i mean sora and riku or just one?????_?

If playable, maybe it's Aqua and Kairi. Both are Keyblade wielders who aren't taking the Mark exam, but they both have interesting stories to tell. It'd also be a contrast like Sora and Riku (light realm vs Dark Realm).

 

Party members aren't necessaraly playable, so I'd say maybe Mickey or Yen Sid. But their not exactly new...

 

And anything's not possible. I don't think that Riku will break into song and sing a heartwarming duet with Terra about the power of darkness while Aqua and Kairi are background singers.

It could be possible for TAV to appear as party members, couldn't it? Consider the MoM test is widely speculated to be unreal. It'd be a way for Sora and Riku to remember Terra and Aqua, and obviously Sora seeing Ven would be important.

i highly doubt kairi will be exactly a main character in ddd the main thing she was be a princess and sora girlfriend so i dont think shell take the mom exames

I don't think they are going to be new Keyblade wielders, and I don't really want any new Keyblade wielding characters. I am not sure about a Final Fantasy character, but I would go with no.

 

As for who they could be, I would say Terra/Aqua/Ven could be possible via illusion from Yen Sid, and I could definitely see some interesting story content with them. Someone related to Xehanort could also be possible, as Ansem/Xemnas did show up in the trailer. Or it could be a brand new character.
