Okay, basically, I need people to help me prepare for recording KH1 in a few weeks. I'm going to use KH1FM to record, and I need to know, firstly

(1) what's different (regarding the cutscenes) between KH and KHFM?

And secondly,

(2) what scenes are kind of "optional", and might I miss during a normal playthrough? Are there any scenes with alternate versions?

Thanks for your help.

I believe they look better as well.

Just don't skip anything.

Final Mix logo?

I think there's a cutscene at the end of Deep Jungle which shows one of two Princesses of Heart. It's Alice if you complete Wonderland other wise it's Sleeping Beauty?

1. Yeah, the quality is better(color on characters, etc.)

2.Yes, what Sora96 said about showing Alice after completing Wonderland(If I remember clearly).

The new scenes that I remember are:

1. Riku waking up in Hollow Bastion

2. Ansem SoD possessing Riku in the halls of Hollow Bastion.

3. Sora facing Xemnas in Hollow Bastion.

That's all I can remember at the moment.

1. I don't remember the difference.

Ansem possessing Riku is not a new cutscene?

The new cutscenes are:

Riku arrives in Hollow Bastion (Just after the fight with Leon)

King Mickey? talking to Riku in The World of Darkness?

Showdown of Fate.

A Sora and Riku memories montage.

Deep Dive.

And the two cutscenes with Xemnas.

Thanks. Been years since I've watched the new scenes.

after the fight with Leon in Traverse Town you get a different cutscene depending on whether you won or lost, the same happens with Cloud in your first fight with him in Olympus Coliseum. Also once you defeat Sephiroth in Coliseum and exit the world you get the Showdown of Fate cutscene that the others told.

That reminds me, there's a winning and losing scene for Leon. Cloud too possibly? Not sure if there's anything else like that...

Also, I thought there was some optional scene with Pinocchio...

EDIT: Lol beat me to it, nikolasvanitas.

I think that 'optional scene' might just be a text bubble scene.

!! You'd practically have to replay the game to get this alternate scene as it happens to compensate for Riku being possessed by Ansem.

Basically: You can leave Monstro without completing it, wait until you've completed Hollow Bastion, and go back to it. Riku isn't present in any of the assist battles and Sora goes "Wait, what are you--" whilst Riku? goes "What? You don't remember your best friend?" And Sora responds with, "Liar, you're not Riku!" And the rest of the scene is basically there but cut short.

It's just one of those lesser known oddities that happens if you don't play the game in its proper order.

There's a scene with Pinocchio in Traverse Town in the accessory store which you can easily skip.

Another difference is that the heartless' that appear in some of the cutscene are recolored. May not be a huge difference but is still a difference. You decided whether or not you think that's an important difference.

EDIT: While watching the altered Monstro scene I noticed an altered Olympus Coliseum scene as well.
