Tutti frutti. Looking back on the series, both Ven and Roxas(whether you want to count them as the same person is up to you) seem to have gone through a lot in the series. Roxas, not being able to find out who he is, being forced to kill someone close to him (even though it was himself in a sense), and being imprisoned in a virutal simulator. Ven, having his heart damaged through the creation of Vanitas, almost attacked, if not killed altogether, by Eraqus to prevent the X-Blade, and being possessed by Vanitas (If you count Aqua's ending story). I don't think that either one deserved to be put through so much abuse as they did. What are everyone else's thoughts on what both Ven and Roxas have gone through in the series thus far?

It should be a known fact that they both have gone throught alot so far in the series, to me even the short end of the stick, shall we say. However. Both Ven and Roxas are part of those who need their 'hurt' mended by Sora. So with that we know they are going to be ok in the end.

Well to me,Roxas' life was more difficult. To have the ones who u know use and betray u.And to have ur only best friend lie to u.I'm sure Axel being in the organization made Roxas' stay easier, but until Axel started acting funny,he lost the only other member he could trust.(other than Xion, but trying to make a point).Without Axel to really call a "friend"his time in the organization was over.

Many character's stories in kh are tragic and so to compare Ven and Roxas, I just don't feel they have enough in common (at least in how there tragedy is) to compare which one is sadder for any particular reason. I just feel like these two don't deserve to be singled out to discuss your thoughts on them and Aqua's story could almost fit into it. Anyway those are my thoughts.

Anyone notice a pattern of memory loss? Ven lost his memories when his heart was broken. Roxas was a nobody with no memories AND he lost them again when he was stuffed in the simulator. Shoot, for all we know Ven may have lost his memories again after his heart was damaged and went to sleep inside Sora. Either way, it's sad that both Roxas and Ven had to go through that confusion of not having an identity and had to use the people around them to make their own.

Roxas was a nobody with no memories

That situation could have been avoided if Sora stayed a heartless for a lot longer. lol
