Riku's keyblade( why he has one and canhe duel wield)?

Posted

It is my belief that riku has tied inheritance to terra's keyblade and MX's keyblade nomura has implied that when Xehanort's Heartless possessed riku and was then removed that a part of terra remained within him. I think he left xehanorts keyblade as well as the memory of his own. It is possible that when riku fully delved into his powers of darkness he awakend the potential to wield MX's key blade because the keyblade is an tied to the weilders heart it used soul eater as a intermediary forming the way to dawn(This would explain why it has the same eye as MX's keyblade). Now similar to xion, I think riku can wield a second keyblade baised on the memories of terra's keyblade. considering where riku's last memory of the terra's keyblade took place it seems natural that it takes form of destiny's place. I think when riku wakes his power of sleep he will fully awaken terra's keyblade and Xehanort will reclaim his

...*Sigh*. Hi. My name's Keyblade King 12. On this site, I'm usually the one who finds ridiculous theories and tells you all that's wrong with them. Sorry if I seem obnoxious and arrogant, I assure you, it's just because I'm typing all of this and not telling it to you personal

Right, well your theory seems to imply that Terra left some of his memories in Riku. Now, I can't tell you that bit is wrong, since it's never been confirmed, but it's extremely unlikely that it happened. Riku was nothing more than a boy that Terra thought could be a strong keyblade wielder and someone that he might have been able to make into an apprentice.

As for your next little bit, this isn't so insane as the other parts, but you might have wanted to explain it better. In Chain of Memories and in Days it was revealed that Riku's darkness had taken a physical form as Xehanort's heartless, due to the connection between the two. It might be possible for some of Xehanort's memories to flow into Riku but since Xehanort didn't control a keyblade, it's unlikely that Riku would gain the ability to control MX's Keyblade and it certainly wouldn't change Soul Eater into Way to Dawn. I'll explain why.

We don't know how Riku received Soul Eater, but we know it's a blade of dark power that Riku's own abilities gave it keyblade-like powers. We do know, however, when Riku resolved to use the power of both light and dark (Dawn) Soul Eater changed into a Keyblade. But it was through Riku's own will and the blade actually uses more 'light' based attacks that Soul Eater. The reason it has an eye is because ALL Keyblades that are involved with darkness have an eye as part of their design.

This next bit is probably the worst. Sora and Roxas duel wield, because they have the heart of another keyblade wielder (Ventus) inside of them. When Ventus leaves, Sora will lose the ability to duel wield. Xion could never duel wield keyblades. She never once had two keyblades in her hands at the same time. I don't know why you thought that, but Xion never gained that ability. Riku will also never gain that ability, unless it is revealed that he, too, has a Keyblade wielder inside of him.

Finally the last line, Riku going through the realm of sleep is expected to unleash some locked memories and powers inside of both Riku and Sora. It's doubtful that Riku will gain MX's Keyblade and even more doubtful that he'll dual wield.

I agree with your entire statement stated above except this part. She DID have dual keyblades, she DID hold two in her hands at the same time. The fight against her in her last stage held two keyblades, or at least weapons that resembled keyblades.

Those weren't Keyblades, those were regular swords that were apart of the armor. She never held two Keyblades at one time, only one, and it was one she shared with Roxas. When she did have one on her own, it was fake. She had the ability to wield one, but not one of her own. Not once does she wield a Keyblade during any of the four fights in the final battle against her, they're just different swords based on the world she's in.

but i thought eventually roxas and xion were able to fight together each having a keyblade .. they needed to spend time together before bc she couldnt summon her own for a while but afterwards she was able to summon it again after sharing roxas's

That was the fake Keyblade she had, and Roxas was growing weak during it, if I remember correctly.

I don't think Sora will lose the dual wielding ability since he shares a very deep link with Ventus's heart. He could reach Ventus's heart after he destroyed himself in the battle against Vanitas after all.

Well it isn't confirmed I think whether or not he will lose the ability, but it's heavily implied that it's only because Ventus' heart is inside of Sora that gives him the Dual Wield ability. Without the second heart, realistically he shouldn't be able to dual wield, even though the two are linked.

Except, as of now Roxas and Sora can both Dual wield without having another heart inside them.
