Well, I think I can officially say that I won't be getting a Vita anytime soon until the memory card gets a price drop. I don't plan on paying that much just for a memoriy card. Really, i thought Sony had learned their lesson already from the PS3's launch price. But I guess I was wrong.

Yeah, 30 bucks for 4 GB in this day and age is ridiculous.

Then keep in mind that the Vita is a primarily download based system, so 4 GB will barely hold anything. Basically, to get a fully functioning Vita, you need to get the $300 good model, and then pay another 120 bucks to have a decent amount of memory.

I mean, what's wring with SD cards? Everybody has those.

Yeah, I have to agree on that.

I usually support Sony since there deals were almost always fair (For it's performance the PS3 and PS2 were friggin CHEAP..there were blu ray players more expensive then the PS3 to the time it was released)

 

But this really is ridiculous. I can't think of ANY explanation whatsoever for this monstrous price. I mean 4GB are almost just one PS2 game.

Also I heard from many sources that the Vita WON'T have an internal storage.

I hate memory cards. And what's worse that instead of using existing cards like SDHC, they have to make "Vita cards" and monopolize the own market for them. Well, whenever I do get a Vita, I'm looking for 3rd party cards, because you know they will pop up. If they made the price reasonable, I would get their card. But hopefully since I'm waiting for a while to get one they will get the hint and lower the price.

Last I heard, they removed the hard drive in order to keep teh cost of teh Vita down.

Sounds like Vita may have a tough launch. Hopefully they will drop the price of there so called 4 GB card (More like 3.85 GB's. What a douchebag)

Heh, heard about this. Well, I hadn't been planning to get a Vita anyway, so it doesn't affect me. Sorry to those of you who have to pay those prices, though.
