NASA discovers water on the moon

Posted

NASA discovered water on the moon on November 13, 2009.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/space/11/13/water.moon.nasa/index.html

I mean, I respect NASA and everything and how they wish to solve complications like water shortage and other matters concerning Earth or the other components of the solar system. Still, this just eats away at me and I don't know why. It is a pretty amazing discovery, but they better not screw up the moon. D:

What do all of you think about it?

*sigh*

If they knock the moon out of orbit, then maybe the world really will end in 2012...

On another note...maybe living on the moon will actually be a possibility in 20 or so years..

mm..yeah, maybe people can start living up there by what silia said.

But they shouldn't screw around with the moon. D;

Oh goodness the moon better stay the same

Yeah, the moon is what helps earth stay in its orbit and axis or whatever. The discovery upsets me because it may be leading to something good or bad. I wonder how they proposed this project anyway D:

I totally agree with you Cricket D;

We've already screwed enough with the Earth; Why screw with what's helping us stay alive :/?

Silly scientists. They're out to kill us all.

Exactly. D;

Not everything they make is helping this world. :/

Silly scientists. They're out to kill us all.

Scientists are going to destroy us all! I don't wanna Die DX!!!!

i wanna go to the moon cuz of the less gravity thing! if only for 10 minutes.

Honestly, I do find that this discovery was a little just a bit riduclous. Now don't get me wrong, finding water on the Moon is great, but we shot a missle at a moon, and wasted money...just to find water...-____-

And whats bad enough is that why bother with it? Sure, you can make a spacestation on the moon. Well what good does that? Seriously, you are not going to find much stuff on the moon besides rocks...well lots of rocks. Living on the moon, sounds awesome. But what are we going to do on the Moon? Basically nothing. All you are going to do is live on space food which I heard is terrible, have oxygen tanks fill the station with oxygen. And what if an accident goes wrong, like if the oxygen tanks stopped working. You're going to be screwed.

And that's all I am going to say. I do like to ask, didn't we found ice on Mars. ice is basically water in a solid, frozen form. Yet we aren't searching well enough for water. Why not shoot a missle at Mars, hmmmm? xD XD xD

yeah, they found water on the moon... interesting...

but if you've seen the new doctor who special (the waters of mars), if we touch the moon's water we'll turn into monsters with water pouring out of ourselves!
