How often do you skip the cutscenes when playing a game?

I actually like to see how the story goes, so I only skip when I know everything. And in the first time I play I don't skip scenes!

So, "Rarely, only on a second or third playthrough."

And you guys? :3

i need to know what the hell is happening when i'm playing a game!

I like cutscenes. To me, they are often the best part of a game.

Oh dear lord...I watched that cursed scene about a million times. I was so glad when I finally got past it.

But I don't usually skip cutscenes. Only if its in a game I've played several times and know what's going to happen. Or fighting a boss over and over again with the same stupid cutscene at the beginning that takes forever and you can't skip.

Exactly XDD

I almost never skip cutscenes, unless it's right before a boss battle that I can't beat. And *sometimes* I won't skip the scene even then. xD But if we're just talking like replaying the game for a second or third time, I still watch every cutscene.

What I really hate is when people skip cutscenes during their FIRST time playing a game, especially when the scene contains a key point in the story. I have a friend who does that, and I say, "What are you doing??? You're going to miss something important!!!!!!" D:

Only if I lost a fight.

Anyone remember how you couldn't skip cutscenes in KH1? Ugh...That scene in Hollow Bastion was burned in my memory.

Haha I have a scene from Hollow Bastion burned in my memory, but it's not the one that most people think of... For some reason, the Dragon Maleficent boss has always been the most hellish (no pun intended) battle for me in KH1. I don't know why. I've actually never had that much trouble with Riku-Ansem. :P But I've seen the cutscene right before the Dragon Maleficent battle so many times that I can still quote it almost perfectly (and keep in mind that it's been about three years since I last played KH1).

*Maleficent panting like a maniac*

Riku-Ansem: "Do you need some help?"

Sora: "Riku!"

Donald: "Is that...?"

Riku-Ansem: "Yes, a Keyblade. But unlike yours, this Keyblade holds the power to unlock people's hearts. Allow me to demonstrate. Behold!"

*Maleficent cries out*

Riku-Ansem: "Now, open your heart. Surrender it to the darkness. Become darkness itself!"

Maleficent: "This is it! This power! Hahaha! Darkness! The true DARKNESS!!!!!"

*Then I attempt to fight Dragon Maleficent and she kills me for the 20th time* xD

So yeah, if I played KH1 again, that would be the scene that I would just skip without hesitation, even on my first attempt at the boss. But, of course, you can't skip scenes in KH1, so... :(
