_{She arrived there before KHII, but that conversation takes place after KHII.[she got there 10 years before KH1, and ansem got there in the end of KHII]}

(kingdom hearts bbs) Aqua goes to Radiant Garden where she encounters Master Xehanort still in Terra's body, but having lost some of his memories. Aqua then battles Xehanort who after the fight attempts to unlock his heart, losing his memories completely in the process.

Soon after, Terra's body starts sinking into darkness, but Aqua dives into the darkness and saves Terra from disappearing. Realizing her glider won't be able to make it back through the portal in time, Aqua sacrifices herself by discarding her armor and using it to guide her glider, Terra-Xehanort in tow, back through the portal leaving herself behind and lost in the Realm of Darkness.

 

Shortly after the end of Kingdom Hearts II, Aqua encounters Ansem the Wise in the Dark Margin. Ansem, who had survived the explosion of his Kingdom Hearts Encoder with few of his memories remaining, reveals to Aqua that while darkness threatens to swallow the worlds again, hope lies in the form of Sora, who prepares to set out on another journey to help all of those whose hearts are connected to his.

No, the realm of light is where Destiny Islands and such are located. Ansem was sent to the realm of darkness(hence the darkness), where Aqua is currently located.

 

Also, just incase, that was not the same beach(they just look the same) Sora and Riku were on. Sora and Riku were on the other side of the ocean in the realm of nothingness looking at the sea of the realm of darkness so they would not have seen Aqua and Ansem(who were in the realm of darkness).

wow although this is 100%correct explanation from Rob, imagine saying this to a person who doesnt know anything about kingdom hearts,it would take him ages to understand it ,what i mean is its a difficult task understanding the terms and the plot of kingdom hearts series

Aqua was trapped in the Realm of Darkness for ages because she chose to save her friend Terra from falling into the Realm of Darkness, but as it was not possible for both of them return to safety, she decided to let him return and she fell on the darkness, where she stood for many many years.

Yes, time is different in the Realm of darkness, but it doesn't mean Aqua's only been there for 2 minutes after 11 years. lol Besides, it's a game.

Time is different in the ROD but that doesnt mean as Rob said that she was there for two minutes. At the ending of final episodes Aqua says: "How much time i have been in here" It shows that a long time passed but shure not 11 years

You see as soon as she saw that red eyes heartless, she cast a fire spell at it. She was already thinking ahead; this is what she's been trained for!

That or she survives on pure awesomeness. Aqua has an unlimited supply of that lol
