These are my theories about KH3D based on everything I've seen/read about the game. I'm pretty much throwing it out there, so some things may contradict others. Consider it things to think about, and "what if" scenarios. Also, some of this info may have already been confirmed/denied. If so, just let me know. Again, I'm just going off of what I know in no specific order. Also, some of it may be obvious.

 

Cross-Out=MIGHT still be possible but unlikely.

Underline=Still possible in my opinion.

Bold=New and/or changed theory

Underline/bold=Confirmed in some manner

 

-Sora and Riku are taking the mark of mastery exam in an induced sleep. This also constitutes saving the world again.

 

-Organization members' "people" death are explained/how they became nobodies in this game

-I think Terranort took them out.

 

-Lea's grown up, and his organization robes are just his attire, as the organization didn't exist. It's just his normal clothes. (HA. I WAS RIGHT, mostly.)

 

-Getting out of the dream is part of the exam/completing it.

 

-Some worlds may be caught inside a dream world and can only be "released" if Sora/Riku seal the keyholes in their sleep.

-This may be part of the exam (It was already said, something along the lines of "Some worlds are trapped"...or something.)

 

-Neku and friends may be stuck inside the dream also, not just figments of Sora's imagination

 

-Sora and Riku look younger due to the dream.

 

-They have to fight each of their main antagonists in the game

 

-Xehanort may come back in the dream world, and they fight him there, only to release him into the real world (Prettyyyy sure he's back since the rest of the org. is back.)

 

-There may be a time limit for how long you can stay in the dream.

 

-Dreams may be where Ventus's heart is trapped, though I think it's confirmed that it's elsewhere.

Indeed. Not just anyone has a Nobody. He did something in particular to each of them, I'm sure. But just where did he recruit 9 through 12? I do hope that finally gets answered... Why was the Organization made in the first place? Could he really not stand being alone? That's unlike him... and Nobodies in general. Maybe he had experiments he wanted to do on each of them, that's why he collected a certain amount of people.

Definitely. Did "Birth by Sleep" make any sense as the title of the last game? No. And yet hasn't this been a constant theme? "Is any of this for real... or not?" Xemnas' search for the Room of Awakening, Ventus' semi-permanent slumber until he can be restored... and now a game that actually takes place in the dream world? Who is it being born (again) from sleep and the dreams, nay, nightmares, of others? Xehanort, of course. Makes perfect sense to me. I was quite stunned with that connection when I realized it myself.... "We're all in dream land now... birth... by... sleep... wait... who would be born from........ OH. CRAP."

Who knows yet, but it's actually quite confirmed. There's also the concept of... what happens if you die in your dreams? Ven does seem to be a perma-nap mode, like I said. Dream land would be a good place to find him, I definitely agree. Do they have any idea what they're supposed to do once they actually find him? Probably not, but as always, they will wing it and everything will be just dandy.

Xemnas needed the organization to complete Kingdom Hearts. As evident in Days, everybody (especially the first six) contributes to his goal. Of course, it really didn't have anything to do with helping the members getting their hearts back and it was entirely one of Xemnas/Xehanorts machinations, but that makes sense.

One of the major themes of BBS was a second chance. All of the main characters fell "asleep" per se and need to wake from their torment. No doubt the titles are related, but I wouldn't say that the title Birth By Sleep had no meaning by the game itself.

I recall reading a report on the demo talking about how its related to the drop gauge just running out. Hmm, that is an interesting concept. Extremely interesting actually.

I don't think Ven's heart ever left Sora's body nor do I think that Ven's body ever left Castle Oblivion, but based on the trailer, I wouldn't be at all surprised with some plot twist pertaining to dreams.

What does Malificent means by "the data"?

I dunno if this is considered related, but a lot of them open with someone waking up... Maybe the Dive to the Heart is also in this dream world? But at the same time, I think the trailer said heartless were unable to go there...

Maleficient is demanding mickey to hand over the data worlds Mickey has. I dont see how she would know about soras situation unless MF told her..

Anyway other villians had sords and both Sora and Riku bested them, Ive seen more intimitating weapons used.

i am so happy i learned japanese so that i am able to play it but KH is not the easiest game to understand even if you speak it fluently (..)

ok but i have to say i am really used to japanese voices!! and even i am in germany i always watch movies etc. in the original language Oo" not in german

moreover in head it is like this: sora is japanese = japanese language = not english LOL
