Sanctuary Backwards? A hidden message?

Posted

We all heard of Sanctuary, the theme song for KHII and 358/2 Days. And you remember thoses gibberish parts where you can't understand? Well they are infact backwards. Here is the video, containing all of thoses backwards parts:

However, there might be a hidden message when the whole song is backwards. And you really have to read the lyrics:

Now I am not sure about theses lyrics being backwards, considering that a couple of them are just weird. Not only that, this is what people thought they heard...so yeah...but I still think it's a message.

BTW, I don't think that last part where Roxas is talking backwards doesn't really matter. It's just the singing part that matters

I think the hidden messages were about riku, words riku talking about himself in 3rd person "i need more affection then you"ll know" meaning that hes a person with not much care or affection in the series (what he thinks) and saying "he was ansem, he was ansem" meaning that riku (still talking about himself) was ansem (Kingdom hearts) and ansem controlled him explaining "And it was real, i never knew it" Might mean that he didnt know ansem was completely controlling him. Remember Riku is serious most time and confident, "I need true emotions" "I hate emotions". And the part "I cant close it" Might mean that riku cant close The Door of Darkness himself. He also says "i will destroy them" might be mentioning what he is going to do to his enimies and he also says "So many ups and downs" which could mean his quest or mission to save kairi. Speaking about kairi. he says "We used to laugh, we shall be back" which means about what used to happen at the island when they were kids and how that one day they will come back. (Which they did in the ending of kingdom hearts 2). And "yeah Yeah yeah, i was him" could mean riku became or turned into ansem in kingdom hearts 2.  "Namine, im sorry" could be Riku apoligizing to Namine for something her did. Thank you for lisening to my thoughts about the hidden messages in The opening intro Santuary. I saw the video today of the messages and i creeped me out and i felt like my childhood was crushed (Even more) and i realized what it could mean and i wanted to share what i thought. thx

How is this still up? O_O

On topic, I think the "I need" bit is just an Easter egg with no real meaning: The only people who are going to hear it are those weirdos who play songs backwards sometimes.

Because it was kinda cool when I heard it was there, but it's nothing major. I doubt it's plot related or even important, despite some decent fan theories. Utada probably just thought it would be a cool little find, or someone at the company that produced it did, because i'm pretty sure PASSION has it to, in English, no less.

The rest...who knows. Maybe you're not supposed to.

This thread is over 4 years old and you people bring it back? xD

@topic: Yeah, everyone pretty much knows this by now. :P

Peace!
