Dom Lock walked into her office in the building The Sevrel Conglomeration had set aside as a PPSA headquarters on Parsidia's 29th level. She dropped her satchel in on her desk and sat in her chair. She checked her digital clock on the wall to her left, her energy sense telling her what patterns were lit up on the display. Five till Eight. She had slept in, but since there was no angry citizen demanding things, it wasn't too much of a detriment to the day.

Dom took of the sunglasses she wore in public and pressed two fingers to the bridge of her nose. She could feel a migraine coming on. She took out some over the counter pain killers from her top desk drawer and took out two of the pills. She popped them in her mouth and took a healthy swallow from a bottle of water she brought with her that morning.

"Alright." she said to herself as she recapped the bottle and placed it on the desk.

"Let's see how this day goes."

Jane took his hand and smiled.

" I'm Jane, oh nice fellow military. I'm Marine Corps." She said pointing to her shelf of pictures and medals. Amoung them was a purple heart hidden between two pictures.

" So how did you find yourself coming here?" She asked thinking she would be the only military in the group.

Dom noticed Jane and Chase talking. What they didn't know was Dom had been very careful to get ex-military soldier for her team. It always felt good to have a few people who had a similar background as her. Still, it was good to see Chase getting acquainted with the rest of the team.

She waled over to the window Yami was looking out of.

"Hey, you okay, sleepyhead?" Dom asked, smiling.

Yami woke up from her daydream and looked at Dom. "Im fine." She said and turned to her. "It just that it feels good to be helping others from danger and stuff." She said to Dom. Im sounding kinda cheesy but i dont care, she thought. She swirled around towards her desk to see it messy with papers. "What's this?" She asked picking some up. Yami hated paperwork but it was part of her job

Dom gave the pile of paper on Yami's desk a sorrowful look.

"That would be a foreboding glimpse of what awaits me at my desk." she said in a dull tone.

She heaved a sigh. She pushed off the wall and got ready to move.

"I'm going to pour me some coffee and hope a crisis pops up before I get done pouring. Otherwise, I'll be doing paperwork."

She headed towards the refreshment table.

Chase looked around at the amazing medals then the purple heart. "Nice, well I'd like to tell you that I have a bunch of medals like you but that would a lie. I'm not sure how I got apart of this team but I'm glad. I wasn't apart of the Seals long though. I joined when I was 18 and did my first real mission but it was hard and not good at all. My team got a call about a suspicious ship on the coast of Canada so we set out to it. Come to find out that the ship was filled with nuclear war heads. Well the guy in charge of putting the war heads in the US and Canada didn't like how we interfered with their operation so he started a detonation process on the warheads which gave us 15 to try to save the majority of Canada from being Nuked. So we quickly set C4 below the deck which was only enough to set the boat underwater without destroying the nukes. Once the boat opened up the nukes quickly sank to the bottom of the ocean. Unfortuantley I was the only one to survive and the families of the fallen were to never know due to the secret of the mission. But yeah that was my first and last mission, after that they hired me here so now we are caught up" Chase said after a sigh

" Wow." Jane breathed.

" My buddy and I were the sniping team of our troop. We were sent of various missions to take out terrorists and such." She said taking a picture of them down from the shelf.

" That was taken when we were first shipped out." Jane said.

" We were ready for anything then, always getting ourselves in and out of trouble. I came back with a purple heart, she in a casket." She said plainly looking at the picture. She handed it to Chase and sat at her desk burrying her face in her hands.

" I could have saved her too... but i dind't I was coward."

Chase looked at the picture and then put it back up on the shelf. He then walked behind her desk and placed his hand on her shoulder "Losing a friend in battle is always tough. But I'm sure it was for a just cause seeing how you probably ended up saving the nation. Your friend knew what she was getting into and died valiantly for the country she swore to protect, yes it seems bad but you were able to save your own life and the lives of countless others. You are not a coward you are a hero" Chase said as he got infront of her and gave her a salute

Jane looked up at him from her chair suprised. She wiped her eyes and saluted standing up.

" Thanks." Jane said smiling a little. She was glad this new guy joined the group. He knew what it was like. Jane looked at the few papers on her desk and sighed.

" Ugh paperwork...." She muttered.

Chase finished the salute and looked at the stack of paperwork. "Its times like this that I'm glad to be the new guy, I don't have paperwork yet" Chase said as he walked pulled a chair up to her desk. "How bout I help you out a little bit?" Chase said as he halved the stack and looked over the huge pile of papers that he had. "With us both doing it, this'll go by a whole lot faster." Chase then started the work and looked over at her then back at his work, he thought it was nice to have another military person there, he felt welcomed to this group

Jane smiled and took the other stack.

" Ok." She handed him a pen and she started filling out the papers.

" We may be done by lunch if we hurry." Jane said looking at the clock. She twirled her pen and grinned looking back at the paper. She sighed and started working.

" Mind if i turn on the radio?" She asked her hand hovering over the on button of the radio on her desk.

Dom stepped into her office and shut the door. She went around her desk and sat in the office chair there. She put her coffee mug down on the desk and sat back. She took off her glasses and closed her eyes. Closing them didn't do anything to her senses, but it still seemed relaxing. She sat there a minute or so before she reopened her eyes.

"Paper work." She said in a grim tone.

She typed in the password on her computer. There were a few papers around her, but they were either braille or written with a special ink that shone to her magic sense. Because of that, she did most of her paper work on the computer. She could distinguish patterns that the computer screen used to relay images.

As she started in on her work, her phone rang.

"PPSA Marchal Team." She answered. "Lock speaking."

"Ah, Dom." Came the smooth voice of Matthias Berch, head of the Persidia Public Service Agency. "I'm afraid that break I was telling you about will have to be put off for a while."

Chase smiled "I am so fine with music, hey how bout we make this more fun. Whoever finishes last has to buy lunch for the winner? Deal?" Chase said raising an eyebrow. "3, 2, 1" Chase then hurried to place the pen on the paper and started filling it out and checking things off the page. Chase looked over at Jane to see how she was doing. He then went back to looking at his paper and filling out his first page. About 10 minutes had past and he had only finished 5 pages. "UGGH" Chase sighed as he filled more out

"I'm guessing this has something to do with the heavy ordinance that was recovered today, right?" Dom asked, already knowing the answer.

"On the nose." Matthias answered. "We need to find out how that got on Parsidia."

Dom grunted her understanding. As a floating city that could fall to earth if something went wrong, say like a massive explosion. For that reason, Parsidia had made very careful certain that no explosives more powerful then the propellant in bullets and fire crackers were brought up.

"Any leads so far?" She asked.

"None." the PPSA director sighed. "Fly Team didn't even get a rumor."

Dom had been afraid of that. Fly Team was a detachment of the PPSA that dealt almost solely with rumor collection and keep tabs on the black market.

"Is Marshal team being put in charge of the investigation?" She inquired.

"For now, all teams are investigating it and will share with each other." Matthias replied.

He paused a moment.

"Unofficially, Dom, I'm placing most of my hope and you and your team. If this means someone is going to make a move against the city, your team has the best chance in stopping them."

"Understood, sir." Dom said. "We won't let you down."

She heard a chuckle from over the phone.

"Of that, I have full certainty." Matthias said and hung up.

Jane grinned and slicked the on button of the radio, she turned it up some and started on her paper work.

" It takes time to get used to filling these things out fast." She said half-way through her stack within 15 minutes. She looked over at Chases measly stack and tried to keep herself from laughing a little.

" Hmm i wondering about lunch, chinese, mexican, or maybe something different."

Chase laughed embarrassedly "Well by the looks of it you'll chose" Chase said as he finally finished his paper work right after her. "Alright well i'm a man of my word so where do you want to eat, I'm fine with anywhere cause I'm new to the area so pick the best restaurant in town. I'll pay any price, just don't go overboard." Chase said as he opened his wallet and checked on the cash "i'm ready to go whenever you are... Ready yet?" Chase said as he pushed his chair in and stacked the papers up ontop of eachother

Jane nodded and gathered all of the papers.

" Ya hold on lemme drop this off at Dom's office." She said smiling looking forward to this free meal. She knocked softly on the door to Dom's office before entering and setting the stack of papers on her desk.

" All filled out as promised!" Jane said cheerfully.

" Chase and I are going to get something to eat.We will be back later. Anything you need?" She asked stuffing her hands into her pockets.

Dom was thinking when Jane came in to her office. She snapped out of it and smiled at Jane.

"Good work." She said with a nod.

She thought a moment.

"Where ever you go, get me a number 6 on the menu. I'll pay you back."

Jane shrugged.

" Alright I'm not the one paying anyway." She said a smile starting to play out on her lips.

" Well goodluck with that...." She said glancing atall the papers.

" When I'm back i could help ya out if ya want." Jane offered as she walked out of the office.

" We are all set! Oh and Dom wants a number six of whatever." Jane said to Chase still a little confused.

Dom smirked. Obviously Jane hadn't learned the old military words of wisdom "Don't volunteer for anything." Dom herself had actually broken that one several times, but never over paper work. She might let Jane off the hook this time.

She reached up to lay a hand on the reports Jane had brought in. She'd need to file them. Later, she would have to scan them into a computer to read them. Dom shook her head and stood up. Time for a walk.

Chase smiled, "so i'm taking everyonelse's orders too?" Chase grinned then walked out the building. He got into his car and let Jane into the passenger side. He pulled into the nearest restaurant and went inside and grabbed a table. He looked at Jane "So little Ms. Winner, what do you want to get?" Chase asked as he looked over the menu trying to figure out something to eat. The waiter looked at them and waited for them to order, Chase didn't know what to get so he just looked at him and said "I'll have whatever she is having." Chase said with a laugh

KATANA had Placed a Small Cherry Blossom Petal on a Grave which Says on It:

"To Those who had Lost Their Lives in the High Street Crash."

As KATANA Would Come to the Graveyard at Least Once a Year, Ever Since the Crash, In Order to Obiviously Pay Respects to Those who had Lost Their Lives Besides himself and Would Allways Vow to Them, On Their Graves That he Would Stop at Nothing Until he Found the Person who had Caused the Crash in the First Place and so That the Victims's Souls Could Move On to the Afterlife.

Dom exited Marshal Team's HQ and headed west. Ever since her year long stay at the hospital, she had liked being able to go out side to clear her head. When she got back, she would give the team a briefing on the situation with the explosives. She considered hitting up a couple of her contacts for what they knew about this, but realized that wouldn't do to much. She would be rushed and not get much, possibly scaring someone into silence.

"Nice day, huh?" An old man said, giving Dom a smile.

Dom moved to aim her eyes as if she was looking at the sky.

"That it is." She said politely.

"Good day for a walk, Sargent Lock." The old man drawled.

Jane had no need to look at the menu since she could eaily see it from outside.

" I'll have number 2 no tomato." She said handing the unopened menu to the baffled server.

" Oh and a number six to go." Jane added quickly remembering Dom's order. She looked at Chase and smiled.

" Haha i remember the first time having fast food after coming back home, it was like heaven on a plate." Jane laughed a little sinking comfortably into her chair.

"Yeah I know what you mean, it doesn't even matter what it is, you still just feel amazing eating it, the food from basic on is just terrible but once you get back to home land it just feels like angels have backed that food. I remember my first meal, it was a huge box of pizza, it was a pepperoni pizza that soaked the box with grease. It was so amazing I can still smell it and taste it, I had it everyday of the my first month back after that mission, then I stopped when I got this job because I was gaining weight. When I came back, I had a six pack but once I got invited to work here I lost them, I just got it back" Chase laughed "Do you have any stories like that?" Chase asked

"I know you do, every soldier has some story during or after basics" Chase grinned

Dom studied the old man hard. He knew her rank in the Marines.

"You know how I am and I don't know you." She said in a wary tone. "That puts me at a disadvantage."

The old man laughed.

"Well, to keep ya from taking measures to get rid of the disadvantage, I'll make things simple." he said. "Name's Wordsworth. Roger Wordsworth."

Dom arched an eyebrow. She knew that name. She gave him another once over with her magic sense. The feeling she got was of a scruffy beggar. Not the Wordsworth she knew.

"Sorry, sir." she said, straightening up slightly. "It's been awhile."

Wordsworth nodded.

"That it has, Gunny. That it has."
