Why is it he can wield a keyblade?

----

Terra-Can wield. (Through inheritance probably.)

Ventus-Can wield. (Through inheritance probably.)

Aqua-Can wield. (Through inheritance probably.)

Sora-Can wield. (Riku's keyblade because his heart sucks balls. Ventus' keyblade because his heart's inside him.)

Kairi-Can wield. (Aqua's an idiot.)

Riku-Can wield. (????)

----

Please explain.

Oh also as an edit. I realised I know he can wield a keyblade from BBS but where did the "Way to the dawn" come from, is my real question. Apologies for misconstrued information.

riku can wield it cause terra made that keyblade inheritance ceremony to him.

Terra passed down the Keyblade to him. If you knew how Sora and Kairi got their keyblades, how did you not know this?!

Sora was already destined to wield a Keyblade.

Terra preformed the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony with Riku

Ventus went into Sora

Riku's Keyblade chose Sora instead

Sora could dual Wield thanks to Ventus's Keyblade

Riku's Keyblade recogized him as a true Keyblade Master and returned

Sora earned his own Keyblade along with keeping Ventus's

By the way... what's up with your username?

Was that confirmed that riku's keyblade returned to him

I'm pretty sure. I forgot where, though.

I don't remember that I'll have to look for I only remember nomura explaining how he used soul eater as an intermediary

@ whole CAN-thing

DO THE CAN-CAN DANCE LIKE A BOSS!

@ the whole Riku can wield thing.

Terra performed the ceremony with Riku.

Yeah, I could never remember a username that long and complicated!

...How can you know about how TVA can wield.....but not Riku. e.o

Uhm as I see it:

-Riku was the "true" wielder of the Kingdom Key.

-He claimed it back for a few seconds.

-And then it went back to sora.

The only other keyblade he wields later is the "Key to people's hearts" but that is destroyed after Sora impales himself with it. So please tell me how Riku can suddenly wield a keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 2.

And in response to Kishira you will note I said "probably" as they were apprentices under Eraqus. Please tell me otherwise.

It's a good question about Riku being able to wield the Keyblade in KH2. I mean, I just assumed it was because Riku gave in to darkness in the first game, and then lost the right to wield, so to speak. However, we see in BBS that there are dark Keyblade masters and wielders as well (Xehanort and Vanitas), so I'm not sure exactly how it all works...Riku definitely had strength of heart in the first game, I think, and certainly through most of the second game (where each time he appears, his weapon is merely Soul Eater, a sword, until the end).

Although a lot of people have disagreed with me I kinda think that terra gain some amount of control over Master Xehanort's

keyblade and when Xehanort's heartless possessed him he passed Riku both Master Xehanort's Keyblade and the memory of his own keyblade allowing him to duel weild.

Uhm as I see it:

Yes

-He claimed it back for a few seconds.

Actually he had it until Sora confronted him in Hollow Bastion, a bit more than just a few seconds.

-And then it went back to sora.

Yes.

The only other keyblade he wields later is the "Key to people's hearts" but that is destroyed after Sora impales himself with it. So please tell me how Riku can suddenly wield a keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 2.

The Keyblade of People's Hearts was created from the 7 pure hearts of light.

Riku can wield the Way to dawn because:

Sora was destined to wield a Keyblade.(Kingdom Key)

Terra preformed the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony with Riku

Ventus went into Sora

Riku's Keyblade chose Sora instead

Sora could dual Wield thanks to Ventus's Keyblade

Riku's Keyblade recogized him as a true Keyblade Master and returned as Way To The Dawn.

Sora earned his own Keyblade along with keeping Ventus's which is why he doesn't lose his after it goes back to Riku.

And in response to Kishira you will note I said "probably" as they were apprentices under Eraqus. Please tell me otherwise.

When did he earn his true keyblade? Wouldn't that mean that the Kingdom Key just disappeared (as that technically is Riku's "true" keyblade) and then Sora just picked one up from somewhere? I doubt that is how it is :/
