Anyways, I was gonna be making a Kingdom Hearts character quiz, and I wanted some opinions on what words to use for describing Axel's personality. Some people say he's laid-back and flirty, others say he's short-tempered and loyal and cocky, others say he's just a trouble-making rebel, while others say he's all of those combined. I know a lot of people see him as a prankster (partially going by past quizzes I've taken to get an idea), but where does this idea come from??

Axel is very multi-dimentional and complex so he tends to be many things at once.He's clever, sneaky, funny, a great friend, flirty,talkative,badass and all out fun to be around..He likes to joke around and his clever sneakiness is probably why they say hes a prankster. The way he handled things in Castle Oblivion is a great example..He was having fun watching it all go down .

MAN I"m good at personalities

At least... that's the personality he acts like he has from his memories We'll see how accurate Axel was at portraying what his emotions should have been now that he's a somebody again.

Although he's one of my favorite characters I find him to be very manipulative and maybe even a tad bit obsessive.

There's one word in there that I wouldn't use to describe Axel: short-tempered. Yes, he gets "angry" quite a bit in the series (as Oishii pointed out, his "emotions" are just imitations of what he remembers as Lea), but that anger takes time to build up for him. Examples are when he gets angry with Xion in Days, or with Roxas in KH2. It's not because he's short-tempered, but because of days or weeks of watching his friends grow apart from him, betraying the Organization, et cetera. I think he's really quite patient at first, and he holds in his "emotions" so long that it all comes out at once and he ends up being in a rage.

He's Bi-polar. You see him with so many emotions with different events. Happiness, cockiness, anger, and even sadness. He is all round to say but you have to think about what situation he is actually in comparing him from time to time. Also take note of Lea's personality from BBS to help you as well.

I think he's sometimes nice and maybe a tiny bit mean. But I like all characters but Larxene.

I'd like to point out that he's kind of sassy. Very hardcore, though he's quite the goofball. The interesting thing is not knowing whether or not you can trust him to be on your side. Is he always looking out for your benefit, or is it conditional?

While this is true about nobodies, i would like to point out that after being around roxas and exposed to a heart, axel had started to actually develope emotions himself and even xemnas marveled at this. This is why he was able to cry, and also show rage when being frustrated.I dont think that was for show.Also, In CO, he actually stopped himself in amazement bc he realized he was experiencing enjoyment from all his drama he created...He had been exposed to both roxas and soras hearts and it was already affecting him .

In Castle Oblivion Axel was sortof a cruel and manipulative person, he acted truly like he didnt care, he also has this way to act one way on the outside and want to be a diffrent way on the inside, meaning what he really wants. Proven when he just burst out yelling at Xion, and Roxas about them being destroyed. In days he had more of a fun, laid back, cocky, older brother figure towards Roxas, and Xion. But when it came to Saix talking about the plan, he just couldnt say anything, showing how much he didnt want things to go on. In kh2 he was more determined, and tried to be still cocky but he wanted to get Roxas back, so he acted as a traitor because he hated following someone elses rules that he didnt want for the outcome. When he died it showed how realistic he tried to be with himself and how he wanted to avoid saying that his determination was because he had feelings, or a heart.

He's both destructive and productive, maker and breaker, and whatever cliched crap you can think of. Then beneath that is the "bad" side.Holy crap he's intense, he's got a crazed look in his eye, he's gonna kick your ass if your in his way or piss him off. He will use anyone and anything to get what he wants, no matter the price, no matter the goal. Then there's the sort f...in between, he's sort of vunerable.He lost the former friendsahip with Saix, and I'm willing to bet my college fund that really hrts him still.Then the double whammy with Xion and Roxas.Look at that freakin tear in the good bye scene! He's just trying to get back to the good times. this is what i mean by him acting a way on the outside, and diffrently on the inside. It seems to me to be like a shell sortof, he will act one way convincing everyone that he will go one way, but he will suddenly change himself to follow his own agenda. Nomura makes the greatest characters ever!

I just watched Advent Children yesterday and was so surprised that Axel was in it

I just got that DVD in the mail. I haven't played FFVII, so I'm not expecting much impact or fandomness to hit me, but I sort of know the background of the original game. Is the movie good? (I'm saving it til school's done with this week.)

lol, I'm in the same situation. As long as you know FF VII's story (mainly Marlene, SHINRA, Turks, and Sephiroth), you'll do fine. I haven't played the game, but reading the bio on FFwiki helped.

 

Good movie. I enjoyed Tifa much more than I have in the past.
