Featured Replies

i would love to help you but i havn't played any of them i'm just going to skip 13

i started from 9 . real fun ..

i think it whold be a good game to start off from

it is the last FF game to come onto the PS .

around .. 2000

real good .. might get bored or stuck in a few placese thought .... and no puzzles ..

I want like. A list o.o so I can follow the story and whatnot

OOOoo ...

well .. they all go in order from the orginle 1987 Nintendo Entertainment System

to Final Fantasy XII what is the newest one from 2006 .. well .. for the main series

if you own a PS2 or the VARY early vrs of the PS3 . you might want to start on the 7th one .. the one with cloud .. all thought if you want to go in order there are some REISSUES of some earlyer ones but i have to look them up and let you know

That game was too hard and I had no clue what to do at all o_____o

I STARTED AT

Final Fantasy 7, that is why I love that one the most, then I played little of 8, then all of 9, I just got around to starting 10 xD

i also have FF6(Wii download)

and another for DS like the Recap.

so, should I start at 7?

depends .. do you want to start in order from first game to last .. or from FIRST PSONE GAME to last

I say 7, in my opinion. To me, 7 WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST SQUARE ENIX GAME that ties with KH.

i think 9 was the best in my opinon,,, 7 and 8 are ok .. but 7 is just to old and sad .... same with 8 . and i dont like the gragichs that much in 8 then 7/

Well, to me, age AND graphics dun matter. and the stroy-line and idea are the most important..... and FF9 was good, but in my opinion, overrated. Dun get me wrong i  it but old games like FF7 arent appreciated that much.

auttly ..most people hated FF9 /// mostly becuase of the settings .. its relly one of its under rated games .. i think ff8 is over rated .... but FF7 is relly good .. just sad .. at lest for the first few CDs

any of the FF7 games, FFX & X-2 and FF12 are all pretty awesome games. Those are the one's I've really played and loved a lot. xD

FF3 was entertaining for the DS too.

Also Play Dissidia. <3

also the graphics don't really matter in my opinion. The storylines are very entertaining, I still enjoy the original ff7 on my PSP even with its ancient graphics. xD

Wait, they don't follow one big storyline?

I don't really think so..

I mean like, you can play any of the games without playing the others and probably not be lost at all.

Unless it's like a sequel/prequel to like, ff7 or ffX or something.

yay what she said .. ever game in the main serioes haves its own story line . nothing is carryed over into the next game .. ..

the only time this dosent aplly is when you oplay something relatted to 7 or 10 .

and also ..

dose 11 fallow a story ..

if you dont know . 11 is the MMORPG of the serios ... untill i think .. 15 ?? if im wrong piz corret me

somebody just tell me what game I should get! xD

get 7 /// its a good game .. and a nice game if your new to the series ..

write down all the titles of the game on piece of paper and put them in a hat then grab piece of paper out of the hat and play that game.It works

Well, count which one we've all recommended the most, and start with that one. :3 <3

lol, U use to think that they were all ONE series with ONE story? Don't worry, i use to think that too, lol. None of the game tie into each other at all. But some of the games have sequels like VI, VII, X.

here's a good list:

Final Fantasy I [GBA, PS1, Wii VC, PSP, PS1]

Final Fantasy II [GBA, PS1 PSP, PS1]

Final Fantasy III [GBA, DS(revised)]

Final Fantasy IV [GBA, DS(revised)]

~(Sequel) Final Fantasy IV: The After Years [Wii VC]

Final Fantasy V [GBA, PS1]

Final Fantasy VI [GBA, PS1]

Final Fantasy VII [PS1, PSN]

~(Prequel [8 years B4]) Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- [PSP]

~(Sequel [3 years after]) Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII- [PS2]

Final Fantasy VIII [PS1]

Final Fantasy IX [PS1]

Final Fantasy X [PS2]

~(Sequel) Final Fantasy X-2 [PS2]

Final Fantasy XI [PS2, PC]

Final Fantasy XII [PS2]

My first FF I played was 6, but i still haven't beaten it yet  I just kind of put it down and forgot about it. I then played Crisis Core FFVII, then FFVII, and then Dirge of Cerberus FFVII. I think those are the best games to start off with even though 7 is a long sad, and screwy story )lol, but it's REALLY good! There's also a full movie (takes place 1 year B4 DoC) and a one-episode anime. X is also really goo, I haven't played it, but I watched my bro and it was an awesome game. Probably easier then FF7.

If you have a PSP, u should get Dissidia FF b/c that's a fighting/RPG game that features one hero and villain from FFs 1-10, with the heroin from 11 and villain from 12. the story involves EVERYONE so you can get a small taste of every FF game. The game is just awesome in every way, lol.

hope that helps :]

Kushi. I love you for that list. xD

Thank you very much (:

Go with X-2 you will be hooked from the start

I'll recommend you to get a psp and install a custom firmware.

That way you can play FF 1 from 6 in the GBA emulator. The ports are not bad at all. But if you want to buy FF 1 and 2 remaked for the psp, there you go :)

Then 7 by store, and, coming soon, FF8 and 9. Also from the store.

Believe me, it's the cheapest way xD And you will play nearly most of the games.
