So you know how Roxas has his little, four-pointed zipper kinda like how Sora has his crown necklace?

I was looking at the KH3D wallpaper with the calendar and if you zoom in on Riku's keyblade where the keychain attaches, you can see a little symbol like Roxas's zipper. I checked and it was like that in KH2 too.

Anybody else notice this?

They look completely different to me.

I didn't notice it...but at the same time I honestly don't think the two are related. Or they could be I suppose.

People often say that Roxas embodies 'Twilight' thought to be the perfect balance between light and dark. Roxas' necklace is very equal and symmetrical and what not.

Riku's cross sort of thing, has two parts that stick out, which might reference how his balance between light and dark isn't equal.

 

But, that's the only possible theory I can come up with on your line of thinking. I personally don't think they're related in any way. I think it's just hard to keep up designs like this, so they probably reuse some things in different places.

Personally I thought it looked more like the top part of the nobody symbol plus another spike instead of the heart.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It's kind of like the top half of the Nobody symbol. This makes sense for Roxas to have, because he's a Nobody. I can also see why it would be on Riku's Keyblade: Riku isn't quite on the light side or the dark side. Nobodies aren't either, they're in between.

It looked different to me as well. The one on Riku resembles a cross while Roxas' necklace looks like an X. Also, I can't think of possibilities how Roxas is related to Riku.

Looking at it again it does look more like a cross than an X. Its still weird they look kinda similar.

To me it looks like a lovechild between Roxas necklace and the Mark of Mastery pendant... thing.
