Question about Terra/Nort

Ok, I have never actually played birth by sleep, due to lack of psp/money to get psp, but I did watch all the cutscenes. But anyways, When Terra loses his body to Master Xehanort, that means the body the "Nobody" is in is Terra's, except with lighter hair. Terra's (either) Heart (or) Soul went into his Armor. Does that mean that Xehanort is actually just Terra, but with no heart? SO technically shouldn't Xemnas be Terra's Nobody? Sorry if I got this wrong, or if there was already a topic like this. I'm just a little confused.

    Terra's Heart or Soul did not go to the armor, his mind does.
