The Anime World: Second Generation

Posted

The Idea: This RP is about what would happen if all anime existed at one point in time. However it isn't about your normal everyday anime characters.

Introduction: A long and terrible war was waged between the forces of good and evil, it brought a huge death toll to many of the nameless characters, and then finally at the end of the war all of the nameless side characters were erased. The five strongest people on both sides decided it was time to reach a conclusion, and after months of delegating they formed a treaty. The world had been pretty much devestated except for the country of Italy, so they divided it into three parts, and built two walls. The wall that divided Central Italy from the south was made by the good guys, the wall to the north was made by the bad guys, and the neutral anime characters took the small center. (The neutral anime consist of all the anime that use cards or monsters to fight for them, and it also consists of Death from Soul Eater seeing as how Death affects everyone.) The good and neutral countries turned to democracy, but the evil country to the north decided to split into five different districts under each of the five heads of power and they all fight for control of the territory. The rules of the treaty are simple, anyone alive at the time of the signing of the treaty isn't allowed to leave their country, and this left the fate of the future on the shoulders of the second generation....

Rules: The RP takes place 19 years after the signing of the treaty, if you want your character to be able to move around and have significance they must be 19 or younger, and if they are older than 19 they will be stuck in the country until crap hits the fan near the middle of the RP. No OP'ing your characters, no controlling other people's characters, and keep it PG-13. Also if one (or both) of your parents die in their respective anime, they ARE NOT allowed to be alive anywhere during your character's life. They don't have to die the way they did in the show, but they have to be dead. You don't have to make your parents cannon, they can be from two completly different anime, or from the same anime. If anyone takes a character or two that you want you can simply make yourself an illegitimate child who has nothing to do with the family, or ask the person if they are ok with having a younger sibling. (Have Fun!!)

Character sheets will be made like the following examples.

Character Name: Anthony Nightroad

Character's Parents' Names: Abel and Astha Nightroad

Bio: After the signing of the treaty Abel Nightroad gave up his need for revenge, and decided to settle down with Astha who had been giving him signs of interest lately. They moved into the center of the Nation, and had a son they named Anthony. He grew into a goofy, flirty, and overall happy child. He is currently 18 years old, is about 5"9 and a half, weighs about 145, and is second in his class. He is excited about his senior year and hopes that it goes by fast so he can pick a career. Being part Vampire he has pretty sensitive skin, but his father's genes keep him from burning up in the day time. He uses a gun fairly well, but his best quality is hand to hand combat. He is currently unable to go into Crusnic form due to never drinking Vampire blood, but he has the abiltiy to.

Abilities and draw backs: His healing factor is incredible and he can take on more damage than any human, he is as fast as a vampire, and he has the sharpest eyes. He is level headed and thinks calmly, but when he is enraged he becomes irrational and dangerous.

" That name sounds familiar..." She muttered then shook of the odd feeling. " Ya sounds good." She finally said glancing in the direction of the tall tower near the edge of town. She shook her head then looked back at Kio. " A partner hmm." She wondered more to herself. This Cassius guy must have big plans... just hope they aren't plans that clash with mine.

When Jonah jumped in front of him and took his hand, he got startled and his ninja instincts took over. He grabbed his hand and spun around, flipping him over his shoulder and onto the ground, drawing his zanpaktou and holding it against his neck. When he realized what happened, he let go and put the sword away. "I'm sorry." he said. "I'm a trained ninja, so it's not wise to startle me like that."

(OOC:I have find out somethings before I post them up, sorry.)

Yuuki finally got enough engery and half rolled half jumped out of the tree. She knew she should have been training but she just didn't like to. With hours before home school even started she started to walk over to the book store; she just loved it there.

OOC: And the computer's mine again!

Akihiko took a slight step to the side, giving a slight wave to the passing woman as he mad ehis way down the sidewalk. This anonymous tip was more than coincidental; it was just a little too convenient to recieve at this time. He stopped at the intersection, looking across the avenue to a brick wall. He had never thought about that wall, actually. It had been there since the regions were divided, and yet it's been 18 years and no one has built anything in that exact location? He waited for the lights to change, crossing the street with a group of businessmen. When he was a kid, he thought that everything would change when the walls were built, and yet it seems like the times simply moved on. Like life itself moved on.

Akihiko stopped in fornt of the wall, checking the stores to either side. "1210... 1214..." He reached into his pocket, pulling out the slip of paper. Akihiko looked up, scanning the wall. This is where 1212 should be, or... well, would be. Was it all some kind of prank? He sighed, closing his eyes to gather his thoughts. He shoved the paper back into his pockets as he let out a deep breath. There was so much going on lately. The unrest in this region, the strife in the north...The police were simply stretched too thin. When he opened his eyes, though, they held a different view. A door had appeared when he wasn't looking. It was wooden, painted a rich blue with intricate golden latticework snaking across the frame. Akihiko glanced around; no one else seemed to notice that it had appeared. This was something that should be reported, and yet...

Almost without thinking, Akihiko turned the golden doorknob, the world around him vanishing in an instant. Before he could react, it was replaced with a long, azure corridor. The lights were so dim, it was hard to make out if there was anything in here, but was that... music? Keeping one hand on the wall, Akihiko made his way forward, the lighting increasing as the music grew louder. The chattering of voices also began to reach him, but he was stopped by the thundering of one much closer.

"What did you say?!" It roared, the man it belonged to towering over a slender woman in a long blue dress. Her pale, wavy hair fluttered slightly as he spoke, though the rest of her body remained motionless.

"I said that your kind are not welcome in the Velvet Room. Please leave at once." She said in a cool, flat voice. Her golden eyes cut into the man, though this only seemed to anger him more.

"Do you know who I am, bitch?!" He shouted. The man pulled his robe to the side, revealing a tattoo on his shoulder. "I'm Yammy Llargo! I'm an Espada, you-" He stopped speaking, almost as if paralyzed. His eyes widened as the woman took a single step forward, two pairs of silver feathered wings appearing in front of her.

"I told you that you are not welcome here." Her expression remained unchanged as a golden halo formed around the wings, a mask materializing in the middle of the assembly. "Leave." The entity between them shattered in a blue light, Akihiko throwing himself against the wall as Yammy flew back, vanishing into the darkness of the corridor. Akihiko looked back to the woman, who began to approach him. It was almost as if the previous encounter hadn't even happened. "My name is Margaret. My master has been expecting you, Detective Sanada. Please, follow me." She turned away without a second thought, walking into the large area that was behind her. Akihiko followed her, overwhelmed as he stepped into the room.

Neon lights beamed down on the club's patrons, who were too busy chatting amongst each other to have noticed the confrontation only moment earlier. The sat on stools or leaned over the numerous bars that littered the floor, gossiping over drinks and laughing. It looked like people from all over the country were here, but how was that possible? "The Velvet Room is connected to each of the districts." Margaret said, as if answering his thoughts. "Anyone with a strong enough will may enter."

"But then can't they just leave here and jump into another district?" They passed the band, which was composed of half-a-dozen demons who seemed to be... well, fused into their instruments. One of them glared at Akihiko, the singer at the head of the stage following him with her eyes. It was odd, considering the other patrons didn't seem to notice him at all.

"Once a patron leaves the Velvet Room, they return to the place that they orignally entered from." Margaret stopped in front of a large, blue curtain. "My master waits for you beyond here. Please do not delay in meeting him." Akihiko glanced to one of the patrons behind him: a thin man a black leather jacket and a snake tattoo on his hand. The man didn't seem to notice that he had kneed Akihiko in the back. The detective turned back to Margaret, but she was gone. With nowhere else to go, he took a deep breath, parting the curtains.

On the other side, Akihiko turned around. The curtains had vanished, a solid wall in their place. He pressed an ear against it: the band was still playing. He was still in the club. Akihiko turned around, following the long staircase wiht his eyes. He made his way down the dimly lit corridor, following the steps around the corner. Finally, the ended at a platform, which featured another short flight of stairs leading to a room. He entered, quickly taking in his suroundings. The room was covered with drapes, large windows covering the entire wall, although it was too dark on the other side for him to make out any details. A young woman in a blue dress was sitting on a barstool, a young man in a blue suit beside her. They reminded Akihiko of that Margaret woman at the front. They both gestured to a small sofa without a word, akihiko taking a seat. A large glass table sat in front of him, an enormous blue sofa on the ohter side. A small man in a black suit sat opposite him, his hunched shoulders and long nose putting the detective on edge. The man examined him quickly with his large eyes, his fingers steepled in front of his chest. Akihiko glanced up form the man quickly, noticing the clock that hung behind him. It had four hands of equal length, but what he found oddest were the numbers: the clock was numbered from zero to twenty-one. And if he wasn't mistaken, all four hands were converging on... four?

"Akihiko Sanada." The man said, breaking the silence. Akhiko's attention shot back to the man. "We have been waiting for you. My name is Igor. Welcome ot my Velvet Room."

The first day was never important, right? Shin slowly made his way away from campus, keeping an eye out for anyone who might try to stop him. He had already missed so much anyways...

Shin froze when he heard what sounded like a crash. He looked aorund, but no one was coming his way. Unfortunately, that probably meant that trouble was elsewhere. Even more unfortunately, that meant it was probably something he should investigate. Mustering up his courage, and maybe a little regret, Shin took another peek around before heading towards the commotion. Were those... voices?

Gunslinger then decided to start the class by saying," Alright students. Today's lesson is quick drawing and firing. What you will be required to do is simply pull out your gun, fire it, and have the next round ready before I can finish calling your name. You'll be aiming for the target on the wall. Does that sound easy enough?" Anthony nodded. Jonah let out a small whimper. Why did it always come down to skill???

Kio smiled and said," Well here we are." He pointed to a large four floored mansion that seemed to have been made for a king. There weren't any green plants however, and all of the plants growing there seemed to have been dyed black. "I do the gardening...I find that black plants are more beautiful...it's my favorite color you know..." he said coldly. He then opened the door wide and said," After you."

Kazumi couldn't hold back a surprised laugh when Jonah jumped in front of Anthony, but then gave a startled cry when Takeshi threw him. She thought it was strange when the teacher began class without even giving a second glance to the scene that had just taken place, but Jonah seemed to be alright. Besides, there were worse occurrences at this school from time to time, so this probably didn't seem worth bothering over for the teacher.

She listened to his instructions and nodded, hoping she wouldn't have an off day today. Then she turned to Takeshi and Anthony. “So, um...you guys any good with guns?” she whispered. She already knew by Jonah's reaction to the teacher that he didn't believe he was, and she felt it better not to include him on the question and make him even more uncomfortable.

Koneko boldly stepped out in front of the rest of the Gunslinging class and faced the target. "Why don't we get this started, shall we?" she said with a wink. In a flash, Ebony and Ivory, her twin pistols, were in her hands and she began firing shot after shot until she got to the point where she would have emptied a clip in each had her guns needed reloading and hadn't had a seemingly bottomless clip. Not all of the shots had hit the target, but the ones that had left a strong impression. She then turned to Anthony with a playful smile. "Alright, Mr. Class President, it's your turn to show us what you can do."

(Damion is going to be controlling my characters for the next few days while I'm out of town.)

"What are guns?" Takeshi asked, confused. He had only known about the ninja weapons and the Zanpaktou.

At first, Kazumi thought that Takeshi was joking, but then she could see that he was serious. What had he said before? This was his first time in the “World of the Living?”

Um, this is a gun,” she said awkwardly, taking her handgun out of her holster to show him. “It's a pretty dangerous weapon. I'm okay with aiming them, I guess, but nowhere near as good as my mom. So, I take it you're not a student at this school. Where did you come from?”

Kurono looked around in wonder. She hardly noticed the blackened plants and walked inside. She stayed tense her hand hovering over her dagger. If anything were to happen she would be ready. Kurono stood straight and tall looking around the mansion. It couldn't atleast fit 5 of her father's towers inside of it.

By the time Shin had arrived, it semeed that whatever had caused the commotion was gone. But he definitely heard voices. Some of them sounded like teens, but one was definitely older, or at least more authoritive. They said something about "partners"... were they planning something? Based on what Sanada-san had been telling him this morning...

Shin pulled out his phone, dialing Akihiko's phone number. He checked the screen when he got no response; not even voicemail. Was something blocking his call? Well, Akihiko said that he would be following some leads in town today. Maybe Shin could find him there.

"Have we met before?" He knew the answer to the question, but wanted to hear it for himself. This man was holding all of the cards, and Akihiko wanted a peek. Igor grinned, his wicked smile chilling yet welcoming.

"I am sorry to say that we haven't, although we certainly have acquaintances." Igor sat perfectly still, hunched forward with his elbows on his knees. His steepled fingers lay just under his crooked nose, his eyes boring into Akihiko's soul. "I have been watching you and your friends for a while, detective."

"I don't believe you." Akihiko leaned forward, matching Igor's inclination. After a few moments of silence, he spoke again. "If you've really been watching me, then wha-"

"Akihiko Sanada." The young woman on the barstool interrupted. Igor didn't seem to mind as she continued. "Known affiliations: Kirijo Group, Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, United Italian Police Task Fo-"

"I get it." Akihiko cut her off, the woman stopping. He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he tried to collect his thoughts. These people were... "That woman at the entrance. Margaret." He looked up to Igor, who remained in the same position he was in when Akihiko had arrived. "That power she was using. It was Persona, wasn't it?" Igor's grin widened, as if Akihiko had mentioned the very fabric of Igor's being.

"Margaret has dominion over Order, among other Personas. As I remember, you knew someone with this ability as well." Igor lowered his hands, reaching out to the table that sat between them. With a swipe of his hand, a deck of cards appeared before him. Igor flipped over the top card revealing the image that lay on the front: it depicted a dark figure wearing a crown and sash. It was labeled "IV". "You, however, only hold power over one. Caesar, a fitting Persona given your Arcanum." Igor moved the card to the side revealing more. "The Empress, The Lovers, The Magician, The Fool, The Chariot, Strength, Justice..." He stopped with the next card. Akihiko stared at the last card, his stomach twisted and wrenching around itself.

"The Moon." Akihiko became distant. He hadn't thought about Shinjiro like this for years, and it pained him to think that he couldn't think about his friend right now either. There was too much happening.

"The ties that bind do not necessarily restrict us." Igor stated as he revealed the next card, "XII". "We are all connected to those that we forge experiences with, whether they be friends," he gestured to the spread of cards before him. "Or ourselves." Igor slid the "IV" card closer ot Akhiko, who picked it up. "The Emperor. A reminder that not everything need be controlled, and that we may be trying too hard to do so. In your struggle with the world, you have locked away your true self." Igor snapped his fingers, the cards vanishing. "Elizabeth. Theodore." The servants to both of his sides moved forward, Elizabeth placing a piece of paper on the table in front of Akihiko. It looked like some kind of contract. Akihiko's name was signed at the bottom, alhtough he didn't remember ever signing anything like that before. Theo came from the other side, handing him a bottle of what seemed to be pills. They reminded Akihiko of the Marebito incident...

"Take those twice a day." Igor instructed. "Reawakening your Persona is just as dangerous as summoning it for the first time. These will suppress the side-effects. Oh, and you will most likely want this again." Akihiko looks confused before realizing that someone was by his side. Margaret stood to his left, a velvet pillow in her hands. Resting atop it was a silver pistol, "SEES" etched into the gun's slide. "Unfortunately, given the amount of time that you haven't used it, you will require the use of an Evoker or card to summon your Persona." Akihiko took the Evoker, examining it. He let out a small laugh.

"You know, I think I've still got mine. Mitsuru said we should keeps ours, to remem-" he stopped, examining the device closer. "This is mine. These marks here..." He looked back to Margaret, only to find that she had moved next to Theo. Akihiko turned from the servants to Igor. "But how did you-"

"Time waits for no one, detective. And I'm afraid that ours is almost up." Igor resumed his previous position, his hands resting in front of his face. "These rebels must be stopped. By choosing to utilize Persona, you have signed the contract with your soul." Akihiko looked down at the slip of paper as a cold feeling washed over him. Igor either didn't notice Akihiko's reaction, or he didn't care. "You have agreed to accept responsibilty for your actions, and to take any rewards and consequences that come with them." Akihiko felt as if he were being washed away by a raging sea, although he never moved from the sofa. "No one is innocent in this ordeal. Remember that, detective. Oh," he added, as if as an afterthought. "And say hello to Aigis for me if you see her." With that, Akihiko choked. It felt as if the air around him had grown more dense suddenly. His chest felt like it was being crushed, his throat closing.Akihiko tried to reach into his jacket for the pills that Theo had handed him, but the feeling was gone as soon as it started.

With a sharp breath, Akihiko became aware of the world around him again. People bustled past him, going about their day. Akihiko realized that he was still staring at the brick wall when he heard a familiar voice. He turned, seeing Shin run down the sidewalk. Was it all in his head? best not bring it up, just in case. "Shin." Akihiko looked down at the boy, who was gasping for breath as he bent over. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

"Yeah... probably..." Shin barely got out. He had run here all the way from campus. "But... I think... rebels... school..." That was all he needed to hear.

"Did you see anyhting?" Akihiko led Shin to a bench nearby, the pair sitting.

"No... but they were talking about partnerships, like they were recruiting someone." Shin finally caught his breath. He tilted his head to one side. "Sanada-san... sorry. Akihiko... since when did you start carrying a gun?" The detective looked to his side. He wore a shoulder holster, the Evoker sitting snug just where it had all those years ago. so it was real...

"Don't worry about it." Akihiko leaned back, resting his arms on the back of the bench. "What we do need to focus on is this group you were talking about. I think we have our first real lead."

OOC: GAAAAAH, that was too long!

"I'm from a place called the Soul Society." he said. "It's a place where the souls of the dead go." He took a look at the gun and asked "How does it work? It has no blades, no points. How can you stab or cut with it?"

Edited by Azure Flame

Oh...” was all Kazumi could say when Takeshi answered her question. She wasn't sure whether to believe him or not. Maybe he was just crazy. “Well, let me show you what it can do.” When it was her turn to go, she aimed her gun at the target. “You may want to cover your ears,” she warned. Then she shot a full round at the target, hitting the center only once. Otherwise, her aim turned out to be...well, average. “So, that's what it does,” she told Takeshi. “Do you kind of get it now?”

He had activated his Sharingan before she started, in case he needed to see something. He was shocked when she started shooting. He could see the bullets leave the gun and hit the target. "So it's fires things like high-speed shurikens." he said, amazed.

Sure, I guess that's a good way of explaining it. Except the 'shurikens' are called bullets.” Kazumi chuckled.

"I see." he said, his eyes going back to normal. "You called this a school?"

Yeah. It's, uh, where kids go to get an education. We take different classes on things we need to learn. Or sometimes on things that will never actually apply to our lives. And this class happens to be Gunslinging 101,” Kazumi said. Then she lowered her voice. “I hope the teacher doesn't realize that you don't belong here.” She said this sincerely. This Takeshi intrigued her, and she wanted to find out more about where he was from. She had noticed when his eyes changed, which looked weird, but then she remembered it couldn't be weirder than the power that she possessed. She wondered what his Void looked like...

"I know what I school is, I just wanted to make sure that you said this was one." Takeshi said. "Is there any way I could get into this school? I'd love to learn more about this world."

Ah, of course,” Kazumi said, scratching the back of her head. “Um, well, I'm guessing you didn't bring any parents with you from your...Soul Society? So you'll have to make up some things about yourself, like where you're from, and why you're by yourself. I don't exactly know how those kinds of things work, but hopefully it won't be too hard for you. I can show you the counselor's office, if you want. That's where you would register for school.”

"Yes, please." he said.

(I was wondering if I could get a list of the classes? As well as how many classes are in one day)

(Just wanted to say my character's Zanpaktou's name is Enkon (Flame Soul), and if he gets Bankai it will be Enkon Moeru (Blazing Flame Soul))

(OOC: Ok. So classes will eventually become unimportant. But so far there are up to 7 or less classes. Gunslinging 101 and Magic Tools 101 are first period classes. P.E. is second period. Third Period is Advanced Hand to Hand Combat or Advanced Bladesman Class. The rest of the day is filled with lunch and misculanious classes. Some of which are Family Dynamics, Video editing, Advanced Microphisics, Strategy 101, Algebra 2, and History of the Nation. Sorry I've been gone so long, I had a surprise camping trip come up from my parents.)

Anthony looked at Koneko astonished and said," Well..it's Vice President. You know that Koneko...umm...and to answer your question...." Anthony wrapped a blindfold around his eyes, cocked his gun, and fired a single bullet into the bull's-eye. He repeated the process with each target and then removed the blindfold. "While my father is an okay shot, I have been practicing a lot, and I've found that my aim is a bit more precise," Anthony said smiling. Jonah rolled up his sleeves and frowned.

"Anyone can do that!!!" he yelled. He then blind folded himself, whipped out his gun, and began firing at random. He completely missed all six shots. One hit the teacher's desk, a second busted through the ceiling, the third flew out the window, while the fourth busted through the bottom of the target, and the fifth and sixth both hit the chalk board. Anthony stood looking at Jonah with wide gaping eyes as Jonah took off the blindfold and asked," Did I get 'em?"

-Meanwhile, Cassius began walking down the stairs. "So...you found a partner Kio? Hello, my name is Cassius Nightroad, and I'm ever so pleased to meet you miss..?" Cassius began. As he held out his hand to her.

(Oh, so it's just classes you guys make up, I wasn't sure if there was a list of classes that I had missed.)

"Okay, we can go after this class is over," Kazumi said. She looked at Anthony when it was his turn to shoot, and her mouth dropped open upon beholding the display of his near-superhuman skills. Well, he was vice-president. Those leader-type people were good at everything, as far as she could tell. She was about to compliment him on his incredible talent, but when Jonah took his turn, her mouth remained hanging open, only this time in astonished horror, and she placed her hands over it.

When Jonah was done, she cautiously went up to him, and spoke to him as if he were a Kindergartener. "Hey, um, Jonah, right? I think that maybe you should get just a little more practice at this before you attempt anything like that blindfolded." She gently took the gun from his hand, taking care not to let it point at anyone in the classroom. "But way to be ambitious." She smiled encouragingly at her younger classmate.

"I think he should just stop." Takeshi said, backing away from him. "I wouldn't wanna be near him when he has a gun." He then turned to Kazumi and asked "Where should I wait for you?"

Jonah smiled nervously..."Eh...umm...it's kinda an off day for me..." Gunslinger grabbed him and threw him in the corner and said," Dunce will stay in the corner until the end of class." Anthony sighed poor Jonah, and then looked at the others saying," Jonah will get better...eventually. So I guess one of you guys can go now...if you need a gun you can borrow it."
