Joint Souls RP

Necessary information:

You can be either a bad guy or a good guy. Good guys are trying to take down an evil guy who summoned a number of "Striders", residents of the Other Realm, a magical world parellel to our own. Bad guys are looking to wreck havoc and defeat the good guys. The Striders he summoned were very beast like. His sister, the only other person able to connect to the Other Realm, used the last of her strength to connect a number of Strider's souls to our world in hopes that they would find humans with souls they were compatable with to join. Her brother did the same to combat her forces. When the Strider's souls connect with a compatable human then the Striders are able to transport to our dimension and the connected human gains enhanced physical ability. They also get either a weapon along with expertise in using it, or a simple magical ability due to being connected to the Other Realm. In times of dire need, a human and their Strider can fuse, becoming more powerful than either individually. Striders must be non-human in appearance and smaller than the average individual. They are supposed to be like a mix between friends and pets. Striders cannot be OCs. Striders can talk, regardless of if their source material can or not (for example, Pokemon).

Backstory, not truly necessary:

There was once a boy and girl, brother and sister, with an uncanny ability. They were connected to the Other Realm, a place of magic, parellel in space and time, in a reality different from our own. They could reach across the gap and communicate with the unique residents there. They were even able to travel to that strange and magical place by connecting each of their souls to the souls of the souls of individuals living in the Other Realm. The two siblings grew up, each with their own ideals, and ultimately found themselves at odds. The sister saw the emotional side of the Other Realm, in that they only way they were able to travel there was by linking their souls with others, and became a teacher in order to invest moral ideals into the modern youth in hopes that it would not only effect our world, but the Other Realm via their invisible connection. While the brother looked into the scientific nature of the Other Realm, he made breakthroughs in science, and strived to find a way to use his mind to bring the Other Realm and his world together. Eventually fame and wealth took its toll on him and he became corrupted. He then organized an event hosting many of the world's elite to come to his lab and observe his newest findings, coaxing them with the promise of wealth and power. It was there that he put his plan into effect, connecting his single soul to the souls of many residents of the Other World whom he had convinced to follow him via the promise of this other dimension to control. The "Striders" as they were now called, due to their striding between the two dimensions, hadn't counted on the adverse effects of linking all of their individual souls to his one. They arrived in this dimension a mere shadow of their former selves, brutes to be manipulated under their summoner's will, while his connection to them gave him access to the magic of the Other Realm. The brother used his Striders to slaughter the world leaders, leading the world into chaos. After discovering this, his sister attempted to stop him, but was overwelmed. With the remaining energy she had, she opened up the Other Realm, and pulled some special souls from it in hopes that they would find and bond with people their souls were compatible with. Upon connecting to a person's soul in this reality, the Striders would be able to bridge the gap to this world with none of the negative side effects that accompanied the Striders linked to the brother. By linking to the Striders, the humans became linked to the magic of the Other Realm, manifesting itself either in the form of a weapon or a special ability in addition to over all enhancing their physical ability. Upon discovering what his sister had done, the brother summoned forth key allies from the Other Realm as well, setting their souls off to link with the souls of humans as to hold off his sister's forces. This is the story of their joint souls.

Strider Appearance: http://www.google.co...1t:429,r:10,s:0

Bio: 5'11", 145 lb, Blitz was just a regular teenager whose life changed when he heard about what had happened to the world's leaders, and it changed even more so when Sonic linked souls with him and told him what really happened. He is a fairly high energy guy, but he keeps his head in a tight spot. He hates seeing others in pain, and will do whatever he can to save people from Vallen and his army of controlled Striders.

"Yeah, then it'll be easier for us to find you," Wreck said approaching from behind them. Haunter swooped over Wreck's shoulder and smiled.

"How are those wounds treating you?" Shade asked Fang, she had come in from the other side, and then looked over at Wreck with a smirk.

Takeshi spun around, not expecting one of Vallen's men to have stayed behind. "And easier for us to work together and beat you." he said. He used his fire powers to create a sword made of fire.

Wreck's smile widened, and he sunk into his shadow. Haunter followed. He then appeared behind Necro, and said, "Oops, over here." Haunter then appeared behind Drake and whispered, "Don't be afraid boy..."

"Don't worry, we're not the ones who need to be afraid," Alaster jeered, he and Tao caught sight of Wreck and his ghostly Strider ad they approached Takeshi and Fang, and pounced from his left, attempting to blindside him.

Wreck shifted back into the shadows and appeared behind Alaster. "Now what good would that do?" he asked.

"If you'll notice, my Companion's not by my side," Alaster answered, and Tao attacked from behind, targeting the purple ghost, leaving Wreck for Alaster.

Grace took a few steps back, holding Gatomon closer. They just got out of a fight, and now these people were attacking them? And that ghost...

"Grace, get back!" Sarah hurried as fast as she could to her sister, limping slightly. She pulled out her gun, Palmon bringing up the rear. "Go back to the bar. We'll take care of this." From what she could tell, there were two enemies: the boy with the ghost and the girl, although Sarah couldn't see her Strider at the moment.

"I'm not going anywhere!" Grace stamped her foot down. "We fought all those bad guys earlier! We can stay and help!" Sarah spun around, taking a quick peek behind her at Wreck.

"I know." Her voice was hushed. "You've used up too much of your power already. Now get inside before you get hurt." The last words were almost a hiss. Grace's expression melted as the girl turned around, returning to the town. Sarah checked with Palmon, who nodded.

"It was the best thing for her." The Strider agreed. "Now we just have to worry about these guys."

"They seem very unorganized Wreck. We can leave now. Our target isn't such a great threat, I bet they can't even fuse..." Shade whispered. Wreck nodded, and the group vanished once more...this time for good.

"Well what the Hell was that about??" Drake asked.

"Idiot, they were just scouting us. They wanted to see how easy it would be to pull us apart, and I'm guessing it would be all too easy..." Fang answered.

"Yeah, especially since they could move like that...it makes me uneasy...." Spyro said with a low growl.

Tao wasn't quick enough and couldn't land a hit on Wreck, and instead ran into a wall when he vanished. "So what do we do now?" Alaster asked.

"We regroup and find ourselves a base of operations." Takeshi said. "Somewhere Vallen's men won't find us and were we can meet and formulate plans."

Hank and Rick were just around a corner when they overheard Alaster and Takeshi. "You two a-looking for a place to crash......cause me and my buddy here know a place." said Hank in a western accent, he also wore a traditional cowboy outfit, hat and all with two pistols attatched to he belt.

"Yeah, looks like you two could use a rest." said Rick.

"Where?" he asked. "It's gotta be a place Vallen's men can't get to."

"What, you think you're the only ones who've had to avoid that guy....by the way, name's Rick, the tough guy of our two man team." said Rick, gesturing to himself and Hank.

"And I'm Hank, marksman of the team, and that's thanks to two people, my strider Trigger Happy, and my father, who taught me how to use guns.....before we show you our hideout, who are you guys?" asked Hank.

"Takeshi, and my strider Guilmon." he said. "I barely managed to escape Vallens first attack, and was the one who put the fliers around."

"My name is Fang, and my strider is Growlithe. We've been fighting against Vallen's men for a bit, but not as many as we just did..." Fang said.

"The name's Drake, my strider is Spyro, and we've been kicking ass since we met!" he semi-shouted.

"Eh, you guys have probably had it easier than we have, everytime we fight we run into this creep called Prowl, we have a tough time with that creep." said Rick.

"Sounds rough," said Necro in that tiny voice of his as he went over to Sarah to heal her leg. He then looked after Grace and their striders. Chop Chop was the one to carry on with Necro's thoughts, as the boy was too preoccupied in healing the others at the time.

"I'm Chop Chop, the strider partnered to young lord Necro over there."

"I'm Gwen," the lance wielding girl said with a smile, "and this is my partner, Escavalier." Escavalier looked slightly indignant for a moment before facing Gwen.

"Fool! My name goes first, for I am the more important out of the two of us." Annoyed, Gwen went to go smack him.

"Blitz is my name, and this here is Sonic," voiced Blitz crossing his arms across his chest and gesturing to Sonic with his thumb. "So where's this "Vallen-proof" place of yours at, anyway?"

"Follow us, but keep your eyes open, we've been giving that varment, Vallen, trouble for some time, boy does he hate us." said Hank as he began walking away.

"I'll give you guys a quick warning now, Hank can get a little cocky sometimes, mostly when he's fighting, but that's mainly because of his strider......whereas i'm more serious, i can't tell you how many times i've saved his life, well, shall we?" asked Rick as he followed Hank.

"They seem trustworthy! I'm in!" Drake said following closely.

Fang was a bit more cautious, he picked up Growlithe, and then waited to trail from behind.

Takeshi and Guilmon followed behind. Takeshi kept an eye out, making sure they weren't followed. "So, how far away is this place?" he asked.

"Shouldn't be that much farther, you're lucky we ran into you acctually, Rick here is the only one who can open the door." said Hank.

"He's right, there's a huge boulder in the way and as far as i know, only i can lift it because of my abilities, by the way, if you see a guy with Sonic Boom as his strider, run, because that would be Prowl." said Rick.

"Thanks for the warning." Takeshi said, following them. "Takeshimon, can I have some food? I'm getting hungry." Guilmon said. "You ate the last of our food before the fight!" Takeshi said. "And it's Takeshi, I'm not a Digimon!"

"If you guys are hungry, you'll be in for a suprise, me and Rick hit one of Vallen's supply stations a few weeks ago.....man does that guy need a lot of food supplies." said Hank as he rounded a corner. Hank then looked up towards the top of a nearby building and saw someone there. "Hey Rick, you're sure no one followed us?"

"Pretty sure, why?" asked Rick.

"Because there's someone up there watching us." said Hank.

Rick looked over towards the same building and saw the guy there. "Guys be on your guard, there's someone watching us." said Rick.

Lucas was watching the others. "So, you think their Vallen's guys?" asked Lucas. (Silver) Couldn't tell ya, remember, we're on the run from him AND the law.

"Do you think we can trust them Gwen?" Fang asked.

OOC: Yeah, I'm gonna have to drop. All the posts here keep happening when I'm at work and I just can't keep up. Luckily my chars aren't really tied in.
