The Seven Lights.

 

First of all everyone has this theory that Sora is part of the 7 lights, but a closer look to the newly translated and subbed videos say otherwise.

 

Xehanort said the X-Blade was split into 7 Lights and 13 Darknesses a long time ago. But Sora can't possibly be one of those seven. Why? Because he originally wasn't fit to wield it in the first place. The only reason he can is because he is borrowing his friend's strength according to (Braig/Xigbar)-nort. Literally, he's using Ven's power to wield a keyblade. So if he wasn't originally destined to hold a keyblade, he couldn't have been one of the 7 Lights because they were destined to be keyblade wielders. (This whole destiny thing is big because Xehanort talks about it in the end and that destinies are fixed, but Lea proves him wrong and therefore Sora changed his destiny by connecting his heart with Ven.) So basically, Sora and those who originally was him Roxas and Xion can't be any of the Lights. The Lights already had the capacity to hold a keyblade from the beginning, when the X-Blade shattered.

 

So who are the 7?

Riku

Mickey

Lea

Kairi

Aqua

Ven

 

Terra, can't because his body is a vessel for the 13

Eraqus' body is yet to be found, in fact he isn't even mentioned in any other game besides BbS. His body could be a vessel if not already.

Roxas and Xion don't have bodies.

Yen Sid has renounced his title

Namine is in Kairi, but also deeply connected to Sora.

The Master (Eraqus' and Xehanorts master that is mentioned in Xehanort's Letters and Reports) I don't think he will be introduced.

 

A possible one is Xehanort, from a different timeline. Remember, destinies can be changed. So what if one of the Xehanorts from a different realm was good. It would be a big surprise to MX and a complete irony. I know it's far fetched, but it would be nice to have a sort of redemption.

 

Anyways, who ever the 7th light is, Sora will still take part in the final battle. Why? Because destinies can be changed. The prophecy did say for 7 to fight against 13, but it didn't say no one else could participate.

 

So I imagine Sora to make a hero's entrance helping them out in the middle of battle.

 

Where was he?

Off on his journey. Remember, he wanted Roxas to be his own person, and maybe his journey might have finally done it. And not only Roxas, maybe even Xion, who is the character that has been the most unjustly treated out of all of them. Maybe since Namine is connected to Sora, she might also have been made into her own person.

How is this possible?

Some nobodies have the capacity to grow hearts. I'm sure Roxas and Namine are two of the few.

What about Xion?

She's a replica of Sora, but nonetheless, if Nobodies could grow hearts, why can't a replica?

 

Other possibilities,

Riku Replica, he was made to fight for the original Organization 13, paricularly by Vexen. But Vexen, or should I say Even is a good guy or at least not on Xehanort's side anymore. If Even gets a good ending, RR should too. RR isn't a nobody, but he's a replica, just like Xion and he was just an innocent victim in the Castle Oblivion incident.

Data Sora and Riku, although they don't really need their own body, it would be nice if they helped just during the fight. If you really wanted them.

 

 

So Sora comes to save them and evens the playing field. And one by one they show up.

 

It would be nice if Sora was a Light, but based on the information we've gotten, he shouldn't be.

It's Sora, I'm not sure but I think Xehanort said that Sora was one of the Seven Lights.

Xehanort told Mickey and Riku that Sora and another on their list belongs to him, making them three short (because they never actually state who the 7th is). I doubt Sora will be considered one of the seven lights, he might still be considered one of the darknesses. Just because he hasn't become Xehanort doesn't mean he can't still be on the list. Xehanort did say that the lights and darknesses only have to fight each other to unlock the X-Blade. 

 

Lea will more then likely be one of the lights otherwise there isn't much point in suddenly giving him a keyblade, same with Kairi.  The other darkness has to be either Terra or Ven (because of Vanitas and still being an empty shell, if Xehanort found him it would be really easy to take him over).

So? Characters can say what they want. They are just assuming Sora is a light. Doesn't mean he is one.

There is a chance. Ansem's data should be the key to bringing Roxas back. Anyone could be a light.

If some how terra splits from Xehanort, than terra could be one of the 7 lights. Just throwing that out there.

No he is probably going to be one of the darkness. I guess he will be restored at least in the keyblade wars.

Light= Guardain of light

Doing the math on Mickey's list: He listed 6 keyblade wielders and thought about the seventh one that we don't know who he/she is(making 7 lights), then MX tells him that two of that list belong to the darkness now, so 4 Keyblade wielders and the secret one(making 5 lights), Sora is rescued and now we have 5 wielders and the secret one (making 6 lights) BUT in the end Kairi and Lea start training to be keyblade masters so we have two more wielders. So after the end of DDD we have 7 active wielders (Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey,Aqua, Ventus and Lea) and one more secret wielder making 8 possible lights total, so one of these 8 will not be a light (maybe more than just one if we consider that you don't have to be a keyblade wielder to be a light, A.K.A Donald/Goofy).

This thread is super old... Just look at the front page, where the timeline is posted. That should clear everything up. It was mere speculation people... before I actually had an actual copy of Dream Drop Distance. I think everything should be cleared up by now.

Nomura has said it before. Sora wields his own keyblade. Ventus waking up does not make him unable to wield. 

Well... Mickey named himself, Riku, Sora and the missing three - Terra, Aqua and Ventus. But at the Moment Sora was asleep so he couldn't be a light. And MX thought he had Sora for sure as a vessel....

Terra's body was taken over with MX's heart, also containing Eraqus' in Terra... Aqua is still in the Realm of Darkness, together with Ansem the Wise. And Ventus is still sleeping in the Chamber of awakening. At this moment, that would be only three wielders. You can't count Lea in at the moment because he couldn't materialize his Keyblade yet. And Kairi also didn't summon one ALONE. She just fought with the one Riku gave her. Anyway - Young Xehanort can only exist for the time till MX comes back, afaik. And no one expected that Lea would come to rescue the sleeping Sora, even that couldn't MX foresee... but how do you want to dispel a flying heart, even Terra couldn't block Xehanort's heart in his armor! And going back to Radiant Garden, I bet he will ask the apprentices or seach for something....

 

And MX had gathered his eleven other vessels, I believe Ansem and Xemnas are not in the new Organisation XIII, because if they would be defeated, wouldn't MX collapse? Because they're from the past? But defeating them both would be reborn Terra-Xehanort, I don't think that he can change so much into a old appearence. What's Terra's darkness anyway? In Riku's Story, when you defeat Ansem inside him, there's his guardian. And Riku show's his Keyblade so strange, after that scene disappears also the guardian of Ansem. ALSO what flew into the ground in BBS, after Terra-Xehanort is defeated by Aqua? The Keyblade disappears and the guardian... melts onto the ground, creating a hole to the realm of darkness?

 

And as far I know, there are only three ways to get into the Realm of Darkness. First, give in to the darkness. Second, a World is consumed by the darkness. And third, fight against a person who is posessed by the darkness(?). But how will you get out, if you're once in it? Like seen with Aqua, the time seems to be twisted, she was walking only for a few hours and already 11 years passed. Yeah, Ansem the Wise managed it to get out of it ONCE, but not another time.

 

So about Ventus and Vanitas... awakening him could be just like Riku awakened Sora in 3D. Dive into his heart and restore it, somehow. Or maybe Riku already restored Ventus' heart without knowing it, as he awakened Sora. Vanitas was destroyed inside Ventus, so that his heart has only light and being damaged. It also could be possible that trough the sleeping Sora some darkness went to Ventus and because of that he smiled slightly... when there wasn't that moment in BBS where he summoned his Keyblade to help Aqua to get to the Land of Departure.

 

At the end... I am still there where I began... SE shall hurry up and come across with infos >_>''
