(Although it was never specified in FF: Incarcerated, this RP takes place in NYC. For me, at least. I'll probably leave anyway.)

Callum turned off the TV and looked at his clock. It was 2:00 A.M. He couldn't sleep ever since he learned a powerful game villain was inside him. Vanitas. Ever since Vanitas possessed him (If he did, maybe he was in there since birth, so gained influence) Callum had been a jerk. He didn't have any friends now. I hate you, Vanitas! He heard a scoff. Really? Do you? Callum summoned his keyblade. "I won't let this take me over. Vanitas, you won't win." His void gear looked ominous. Too ominous.

(Series of explosions, huh? Geez, it’s been such a long time since I last played that game, I don’t even remember it! X’D Mind showing me a video?)

 

Mariah had just enough time to react to Ethan’s dodge, but not enough to avoid hurting herself altogether. Before her fist hit the tree, she brought it back in close to her body, then turned so that her shoulder took most of the impact. It was extremely painful and would leave her entire arm bruised, but it was better than breaking her hand. The next instant, she saw the blazing tree coming down towards her, and she jumped away from it. Once she landed, she looked around in confusion, trying to spot Ethan. Her eyes were starting to burn from the smoke that was rising everywhere.

Ethan was luckily immune to the ill effects of his fire and smoke, but knew that if anyone were to hit him with any kind of fire that he'd burn just like the rest. Coming across as immune was almost as good as being immune, though. Unfortunately, even he couldn't see were Mariah was for all of the rising smoke. "You idiot! She's got an inhabitor, just sense for it!" Hades shouted to Ethan inwardly. Under his breath he replied, "Of course, Lord Hades. Always a pleasure to gain counsel from you." There was an edge to his voice and they both knew it, but Hades really cared more for the lip service than anything else. Closing his eyes, Ethan tried to judge Mariah's location.

Mariah coughed from the fumes. I can’t see anything! she thought desperately.

 

“He’s on your left!” Tifa said urgently. “I can sense Hades. Let me take over.” With that, Tifa was in control of Mariah’s body. She took a few seconds to gather her energy, then shot her fists out in the general direction she thought Ethan to be, and several large bursts of flame issued from them.

 

“Wow, I didn’t know you could do that,” Mariah said.

 

Neither did I, Tifa thought. Just instinct, I guess. Well, this should work to our advantage.

James blocked the attack and said "It's your funeral."  He flew behind him and slashed at his back.

(I don't mean to gang up on you, but could you give a specific example [or a few] of when Azure Flame, or any of the rest of us for that matter, have used creative ideas like this without approval? I'm only asking because if there's something wrong here, then we all need to fix it in a calm manner. I hate getting into arguments, especially when everyone here is supposed to be having fun. )

(First of all, I'm just an enforcer of rules, I'm not trying to take over the RP, I'm just really big on following rules. Second of all, alot of your ideas either involve powers or devices that need to be looked at and approved, or involve other characters which need to be talked with that character's player. We submit powers and stuff that need to be approved, or just discuss them either in PM or OOC posts. And if it involves another character, we talk to that person via PM to find out their ideas on it. We don't just go ahead and do whatever we want. If you don't like that, then you can leave, but that's the way things are.)

(Okay, I would like to say that I am sorry for snapping, but unlike the rest of ya'll I didnt get much sleep and I am not in the best mood. I have alot going on that is causing lack of sleep and on top of that I have to go to High School.)

Ethan was utterly shocked by the concussive bursts of energy that exploded in front of and around him, launching him into the air. "What in the...!" he cried as he tried to arrange himself in the air to land properly and prepare to face Mariah once more. In his current position, however, he was wide open.

 

(OOC: Lol, I'm a freshman in college. Sleep doesn't exist here. It's perfectly fine that you want to make devices and powers and do things with characters and all that jazz, but everyone here needs to be able to keep everyone else in check. I've had a few ideas that I posted on the other page that were shot down, so don't worry about that. The story just doesn't flow well if something is pulled out of no where and doesn't go with the rest of things or if the ability of device is overpowered like mine was. No matter if it's the most brilliant idea in the history of ever, it has to be met with popular approval, especially from people like Azure Flame who are very picky about the rules, and rightfully so.)

A burning tree limb crashed down right next to Tifa. If we don't get out of here soon, we're all going to fry! Except for Ethan... she thought with frustration. She sensed that Ethan was in the air, and she did the same attack in his direction, sending another string of explosions his way.

The explosions knocked Ethan even further away and knocked his back against a tree. He was now bleeding and probably had a few cracked ribs. He quickly checked. Yep, unless the shooting pain was just in his head. Gathering up the last of his energy, he flung a ball of fire towards the mini sun he'd left hanging in the sky, then disappeared in a cloud of ash as it became unstable.

Tifa felt a moment of relief when Ethan disappeared. It was cut short, however, when she looked up and saw that the mini sun had become unstable when Ethan shot at it. She looked over at James and the armored Inhabiter, and it looked like they might be out of range. But she wasn’t, and there was nothing for her to do except run. She had only managed to take a few steps when the explosion propelled her forward fifteen yards, and she crashed into a tree. She crumpled to the ground on impact, fighting to stay conscious.

(Xeveemon, this sounds like a cool idea, but I'd prefer for you to, you know, send me a PM and/or post it on the sign-ups for Azure Flame to look at it. The reason I trust Azure Flame is he taught me pretty much everything to being a good RPer and about certain rules way back when I was a newbie.)

(Okay just forget about my characters being there. I am just going to have them pop up later on. I was just trying to find a good way for them to come back, but I think another way is better, now just forget that they were there.)

Sumer felt the keyblade make a good sized dent in his armor. He turned around, and suddenly Ansem took over. 'Fool! You can't even defeat one of these morons!' As Ansem, Sumer used a Dark Thundaga and came in close to Riku, and pulled off an incredibly fast sword combo. Suddenly, something blocked a sword blow. Sumer looked to his side and saw a girl. "Who are you and what do you want?" Ansem asked her pulling his sword away from Riku. "Your worst nightmare!" She said and delivered a heavy blow with her staff, straight to his chest sending him flying into a tree. Elie offered a hand to the man on the ground. "That sounded a lot cooler then intended." She said smiling.

"Who are you?" James asked, flying back a little. He was a little surprised at what he had just seen and shook his head to try and clear his mind.

When Mariah was back in control of her body, she stumbled over to James and the young woman who had just arrived. "Hey, I don't mean to interrupt, but we need to get out of here while that armored guy is down, or we'll all be burned alive."

 

"Aerith?!" she heard Tifa say. Mariah took a second look at the woman.

 

She's Inhabited by Aerith?

 

"Yeah...I'm sure of it..." Tifa's voice was an interesting mix of amazement, happiness, and a hint of something else...jealousy.

 

Mariah thought of the famous love triangle between Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith. It could very well repeat itself here in this world. And if that ended up being the case, she knew that Tifa would only run away from the situation, not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable by expressing her own feelings on the matter. She had already had enough trouble confessing her love for Cloud the previous year, when there was no one between them. But now that Aerith was here, Mariah got the feeling that Tifa would completely close off from Cloud. Not that she and Cloud had seen much of each other anyway, what with all the drama going on between Mariah and Joy.

 

Oh, well. It was best to just make friends with this girl. Tifa and Aerith would probably still get along fairly well even if things did turn out as she predicted. She shook her head, still a bit dazed. "Sorry, I would ask your name, but I'd rather get out of here alive before we start the introductions." She turned and started to make her way out of the forest. Unfortunately, her car was probably too damaged by the fire and falling trees to be usable anymore.

"Well, I could fly us out." James said. "Though I'd have to carry both of you. Is that alright?"

Mariah stopped. The thought of James carrying her, of being in such close physical contact after everything that had happened between them, made the blood rush to her cheeks, which she hoped the others would simply attribute to the increasing heat from the flames blazing all around them. She turned around to face him. “Oh, of course,” she said in a neutral tone. “It’s fine with me, as long as you can handle carrying both of us. What do you think?” she asked the brunette girl.

'Well its settled, but that time i checked Roxas cant make me fly.'

'Nope, but i did climb a skyscraper once when fighting Riku.'

'That wont help in the sky, mabye we should see if we can find some vehicle, or maybe a ship.'

(Didn't think this could get more complicated than a love triangle. Love square it is. Anyways, Chocobo time. If this seems too weird, having a creature in this world, I just figured it would be a better way to travel, since there was Bahamut in the last one.)

Joy started to walk around, and sensed everyone somewhere else. He squinted hard, but couldn't get a good sense of anything. He sighed, and turned a corner, but not before bumping into a man. "Oh, sorry." He walked past the man, and felt the man's eyes burning into his back. He sensed the man had a dark presence, but he didn't know who Inhabited him. As he walked further away, he sensed everyone else in a forest. He sighed, realizing how much he would have to run. As he was about to start, something hit him in the neck. "Hey! Watch..." There was a Chocobo.

Joy's Chocobo arrived in the clearing where everyone was. He jumped off, and rubbed the beak. "Thanks. You can go now." He turned, and there were people all right. But his heart stopped when he sensed Aerith. He looked over at the girl, and his eyes turned bright blue as Cloud took over. Cloud gasped. "Aerith? But you're...dead."

Aerith took over. "Cloud? Tifa? It's fantastic to see you and everything, but we obviously have two very dangerous bad guys right behind us, so we should really get going." Elie shook her head. "I'm agreeing with Aerith. We need to get the heck out of dodge if we want to live. So I'll get on Cloud's motorcyc... or chocobo if that's what your using right now, and the person with Tifa can go with the other guy." Elie smiled as she was talking.

Cloud nodded. "Uh, come on then. If the Chocobo hasn't gone yet." His question was answered when the chocobo dug his beak in his back affectionately. He jumped on the back of the Chocobo, and held out his hand to help the girl up. "Sorry, but I never learned your real name. I'm Inhabiting a boy named Joy. Well, not really a boy anymore. He's grown up a lot from last year. A story for another time, anyways. How have things been Aerith? And how did you come back? But seeing as James came back, anything's possible. Anyways, you're right. Come on, we need to go."

"Hello Joy." James said, grabbing Mariah. He flapped his wing and took to the sky. "Good thing I'm not still Inhabited by Sephiroth." he said to Mariah. "Or that would have been really awkward."

'I will use the portal of darkness i guess, since that is the only means of transportation Roxas gave me.'
